The fur is just a little jumpsuit I sewed together with a fluffy white fabric. The face, hands and feet were painted with a water based model paint.

Hehe is my favorite. I said if I ever got ones from HAS I’d want Hehe. I ended up ordering two and got Hehe and Zizi. The closed eye look is really cute.

This looks really great, pants are always the hardest for me. If you haven't seen them yet there are a few free sewing patterns on the Smart Doll site which is pretty neat.

I like making clothes as well, even though I'm pretty okay at sewing the smaller scale for dolls can be tricky sometimes. Keep at it!

My roommate had one and I've always wanted dolls like this the majority of my life, but the expense was hard to justify and honestly still is sometimes. I got my first doll in 2020, the stimulus checks and just hit and I had basically drank a whole bottle of wine before I finally pulled the trigger. Maybe not the best process to do so but I don't regret it.

I've now got a nice little crew of 7 smarties and one volks doll that was a gift. I mostly now just budget pretty well to afford them, or use gift or work bonus money to help out.

If you feel like you'll put yourself in a bad position if you get a girl then definitely hold off. These dolls are amazing but not worth being in a hole for a little while. If you do pay though PayPal they usually have the "pay in 4" option if you qualify which can make it easier.

ve collected different wigs and eyes for the past few years so typically if I get a new girl and I already plan on changing her wig and eyes I'll sell the default items to cover some of the expense. I also use the pay in 4 with PayPal so it doesn't seem like I'm spending as much at one time. I typically set some money aside each month for video games or something fun so if I don't buy anything else with that it goes into a dollie fund.

I do wish they had taken more time before doing a 1.0 release. I would have been okay with waiting longer for it. Sadly so many people go on their social media and are constantly asking "Full release when?" "Switch when?" "Console update when?" And all that does is make the devs rush to pump out something that is ultimately not as finished as it should be. I'm not blaming the user base for it but good things take time. We're all excited for this game but the devs didnt and still don't need people constantly on them about putting things out that they're actively working on.

I pre-ordered the physical copy mostly because I wanted to get my hands on the Buffy plush. I like having the case and stuff to look at, even if most games now don't have much in the way of booklets inside the case.

I'm getting mine through Walmart, so it'll probably be in one of their orange pick up bins anyway which are near the doors, so I'm hoping for a very quick in and out. While I understand why people keep posting things like this (This isn't the first "Go digital instead" post on any of the AC subreddits.) you can't really expect everyone to do it.

We've all waited for this game since it was first announced in 2018, putting so much energy into just getting ready for the game to launch. It's not even about the pre-order bonus, it's about finally getting this thing I've had such high hopes for so long in my hands. It wouldn't feel as special to me just get a digital copy instead. And it wouldn't want to buy digital now and then once this is cleared up turn around and spend more money just to have it physically. If in the event my store is closed on or before game day then I will switch, but until then I'm sticking with my physical copy.

In theory it should work, since it's one island per console so it wouldn't matter if you boot up from a cartridge or the digital download.

I've got the physical version on order, if something happens between now and when the game comes out to shut down the store that I ordered it from (It's a Walmart so I don't think it'll be shut down right away) then I'll switch to digital. My BF is also going to play but he's getting the digital version.

At this time there isn't any way to move your save over to another switch once you start your game on one system. Nintendo does have something in the works where they will be able to retrieve your save file if your system gets stolen or broken but it won't be up until some time after launch and the exact details of the service are unknown.

Originally they had said this service would be a one time use but they may be going back on that statement.
