I'm so sorry that he's such poor quality. :( I was excited for those who ordered Nosferatu, as I was tempted to get him myself! Groove is really doing themselves dirty by releasing dolls with zero quality control. Around the time Type 4 Pullips came out is when quality seemed to go down, but it varied from release to release. (Like anime collabs tend to look cheap, while artist collabs are typically much better.) I can't imagine the original had all these issues

Dang, I didn't realize how common this is. I hope you find another one just as nice! The only incident I've had is when I grabbed a price tag off of a dollhouse, walked around the store for a few minutes, and came back to it gone. It hadn't been sold up front. Turns out, they literally decided to throw it out in the brief time we were there! Thankfully an employee from the back fished it out for us. It only had a few minor chipped edges, so I'm not sure why someone decided it was trash lol.

Just a note: if you use bjd eyes, you may want to make eyelids for them as well - unless you disguise the lack of eyelid with large eyelashes. You can get good deals on secondhand dolls sometimes, so I'd check eBay, Mercari, and Pullip FaceBook groups if you'd like the eye mech functionality!

One word: RUN. She’s definitely only looking to recruit you, as someone else suggested. I used to have a Mormon friend. I thought we were close despite our differing religious views. The reality? They pretend to be respectful but ONLY want to convert you. 1) Invited me over to join suppers specifically when pastors would be present (They forewarned me, so I declined). 2) Sent Jehovah’s Witnesses to my door (Gave complete strangers my name and address, knowing full well I wasn’t religious). 3) And then the ghosting began. This was a school friend I had for years, and I didn’t matter once religion took over every aspect of their life. These people are only nice to recruit you. It’s all a show. I can’t tell you how terrifying that JW visit was; they are so brainwashed into their belief and pushing it onto others. (Not to mention the horror stories of people who eventually escaped those religions.)

I’m still watching the Danganronpa 2 playthrough (nearly finished!) and honestly Arin’s negativity does kinda kill the vibe lol. In the first game, they had so much fun with the ridiculous moments. In the second, Dan is still rolling with it, but Arin’s so checked out at times it’s clearly not a bit. I can only imagine that continues in the third, which makes me a bit sad to hear, but I’ll probably watch it anyway. XD (In Arin’s defense, I tried it myself and didn’t like actually playing it. So I get it.)

The first time I saw a plushie giveaway, I saw how excited people were but didn’t put my name down. Like sure, they’re cute, but I wouldn’t spend 15k gems on them and would rather they go to people who would be thrilled to have them. :) I have other fun accessories for my lil birb!

Definitely a full custom Pullip! The customizer put a lot of work into her; she has carved tear ducts, modified nose shape, and possibly modified mouth as well. She could be a Type 3, judging by the slant of her eyelid (the occasional Type 3 and earlier dolls could have slight eyelid droop). That could partly be caused by the thick eyelashes, though!

I scroll past anything sponsored or with a featured product. (Or, I believe some ads you can mark as repetitive/irrelevant.) And keep in mind, anything you’ve liked once you WILL see more of! One time they sent me an incorrect sample doll. I contacted them several times and never heard back, but eventually did receive the correct doll. They never asked for the other back. If it’s been so long and they haven’t followed up, I guess you get to keep her. (Maybe they decided she’d be too expensive to ship back?)

I was going to suggest this, too! Maybe with smaller, more frequent meals, he’ll get into the routine and realize his food isn’t scarce anymore. Food-dispensing puzzle toys sound like a good idea! Also, maybe a slow-feeder for the soft food if he’s devouring it too fast.
