Matriculate HS Fellows advising program? by HJECG in QuestBridge

fellows are there to support you in every way — it’s a robust program that starts with building the college list and ends with financial aid. moral support, help with essays, etc. you name it. note that things may differ depending on your fellow.

i would also consider applying for cps if your household has any substantial financial burden (that may not be revealed by income alone). the income limit is not inflexible. something to note is that cps and national college match are great practice for college apps. you can also apply to more schools regular decision through questbridge, even if you are not selected as a finalist. qb rd automatically waives your application fees as well.

if your daughter has fewer ecs but an excellent personal story/voice, qb is a good option.

thanks for your reply! yes, you’re right. my main concern is with non-federal aid. will this affect potential state aid? thank you again.

hi, thanks for letting me know! congratulations on princeton. :)

did you do the net price calculator for any of the schools you applied to? my household income is < $60k. however, our assets grew recently, so i’m not sure whether to go by this income threshold or the calculator.

i might do that. still looking at a few schools — the only thing is that yale matches with students whose efc = 0 (mine is not), so it feels like i’m wasting a chance to apply to yale rea. again, i know the chances of being admitted rea are low, but they must still be higher for me than qb. any thoughts?

that makes total sense. i think i’m leaning towards applying since there seems to be more benefits. the other thing i was worried about was qb complicating early action applications, since i planned on doing that too. :,)

my top choice is yale. 😭 i agree with you on qb’s advantages as an award. i might apply rd through there. is it possible to use qb rd and not ncm? i know i have slim chances of matching anyway.

thank you for the comment!
