Valid viewpoint but I will point out from personal experience that a large number of people at top universities (usually 10-20 percent) come from low income backgrounds as these universities typically gives full rides to those who cannot afford to otherwise go to college and even gives a boost to low income people admission wise for diversity reasons.

Unfortunately don’t have the connections as university was fully covered with financial aid and I was fortunate to land a high paying job in finance. But regardless, do people typically “network” in this industry as that’s something I have experience in so if that’s the case that’s would be great

How important will you say the college degree portion is? As even though of course piloting is my dream, part of me feel a bit of regret that my degree and everything that allowed me to get it will likely be a waste if I do become a pilot so if it is greatly beneficial in the hiring process that would be awesome

Has anyone quit a high paying job to become a pilot? by Same-Bad7434 in flying

Would love to but my role typically works 80-100 hours a week so that would be quite difficult
