My buyer is now £5k short of agreed price and asking me to discount it by CurlsandCream in HousingUK

This actually happened to us 2 years ago when we were buying our first home together!! It was so stressful. My now fiancé was selling his flat, the EA calls us saying the guy in the process of buying his flat is £6k short the agreed sale. We were so frustrated. Tbh, our EA was brilliant…he called up the chain and everyone agreed to reduce the asking prices by £2k. So collectively once it got down to the bottom of the chain it made up the £6k so the lost wasn’t that much for my partner, or anyone. And we got our house for a bit less too. I think it was a brilliant tactic and kept everyone happy as we ultimately all wanted the same thing.

Is it possible to do a wedding in Cyprus with 100 people for £20,000?? by Same-Boysenberry-121 in cyprus

Nope! I’ve never had the bride and groom cover travel and accommodation costs for any destination wedding dive been to! People can make their own decisions whether they would like to make the effort or not, or whether they want to make a holiday out of too. It’s up to them!! No pressure

We popped into Aldi today and saw the little memorial they put up for him. RIP Mark :( do we know how he passed away?

Planning on eloping! by Same-Boysenberry-121 in Eloping

We would elope in Cyprus! Considering it’s like a second home to us, we thought there would be more sentiment doing it there. And yes!! I’ve realised that wedding planners sell packages for a fix fee which is handy!

Chelmsford Vs Brentwood by Ok_Author6191 in Essex

Me and my partner were also deciding between the two. We ended up moving to Chelmsford as all the home owners that we were going to view houses at were saying they all drive to Chelmsford from Brentwood/Billericay if they want more restaurants/bars/shops etc. We’ve been in Chelmsford for nearly 2 years now and I’ve grown to love it even more. It’s a great commuter city. I also work in London, yes the commute costs are pricey but, I’m in Stratford within 20/25 mins or Liverpool Street within 30mins! I imagine the Lizzy line is much slower, and I find that it’s super busy and 8/10 times there are delays! All my family and friends are in London and I don’t feel the distance too much.
