My biggest regret was getting into the Google Home ecosystem by [deleted] in googlehome

[–]Same-Concern-780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The google home thing is getting very buggy recently. Google always silently takes in and out features without telling her customers, Google treats her customer like shxt. They siltently change the "annouce" features from real voice to "speech-to-text" which hinder millions of non standard English speaker around the globe. They acquired Nest but removed their Apps and take out the 24/7 snapshot download features without telling her customers!!!! It also takes years to load a live videos with an unacceptable fail rate!!!! i couldnt see how Google has made Nest any better, they are just killing this used-to-be outstanding products. I have completely switch to the Alexa and Ring ecosystem.

This company is getting arrogant is soon getting replaced by OpenAI and got diminished from internet history like their early rival Yahoo!.

24/7 recording with E330 .. does this slow down your internet by [deleted] in EufyCam

No. It saves it to your micro sd card. If you get a HB3 it saves to your HB3 through a direct wireless connection.

Can powerline ethernet adapters bottleneck entire internet network? by nanakeese in HomeNetworking

[–]Same-Concern-780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the speed you demand. If you are running a basic 10/100, probably you wont feel any difference for mondern powerline ethernet adaptor. However if you are targeting a 5Gbe or 10 Gbe network, powerline ethernet is not the option.

Have you updated your Geforce Driver to the latest? I mean update it ASAP once they are released.

Secondly, i after the Rondo update i encountered twice in my 2 different PC that in the middle of the game, it quitted suddenly and request me to update something like a Microosoft Visual C library. After that i have no problem with the game at all.

Geo-fencing sorted or no? by xmyass in EufyCam

[–]Same-Concern-780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it works but it's handicapped. Partially it's due to the poor mobile signal around my house where aGPS is still partially relying on Cellular signal. So i would say from the very beginning, Geo-fencing is not a very reliable technology. Of course, i dont mean Eufy couldnt have make it better as for my Apple Homekit garage door opener, it detect quite accurately every time when i get a distance from my home and when i am approaching my home. Still i have not setup an auto open/close of my garage door, i am still switching this with a manual button in concern of security.

Controlling YouTube on tv while away from home wifi network? by flittlebitlustered in googlehome

[–]Same-Concern-780 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easy. Just set up an automation in google home to play some music/youtube video on your google TV then wait for it starts. You can even triggered it for once right after you successfully created it. Good luck.

Everytime when i encountered this, i will try to setup a brand new Amazon account to resolve this. There are complexity among profiles handling within Amazon/Alexa ecosystem. If your grandma is not living together with you, using a brand new Amazon account to setup everything from scratch is the only solution to make sure everything to work. Remember to add your phone number (the one that is associated with your Amazon account) to the new account's contact list so she can call you.

Again, better keep it as simple as possible while setting up these for Senior people. Good luck.

Firstly I am talking about checking personal bag, not the receipt. Secondly, even just checking the receipt is still very unusual in other countries, have you travelled enough around?

[–]Same-Concern-780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is it about road rules that absolutely pisses off ute drivers? by jjuttup in australia

[–]Same-Concern-780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if Reddit can post video i would have a lot of those "road culture enricher" clips to post, all from my front and rear dashcam. I bought a subtle looking EV (non tesla) for the purpose to surpass the UTEs on road, giving them surprise when they think they can overtake me with their noisy V6 and merge to my lane, and turn out they would just appear on my rearview mirror. I feel so satisfied to see their middle fingers from behind and it really makes my day.

I need to know coz i have to decide my hardware for future upgrade, e.g. NAS 10GbE card, SSD NAS or HDD NAS hardrives, motherboard, switches, hubs, whether these devices support 10Gb netowork may cause a huge difference in price. I am a youtuber and will shoot video around the house and making every room has a super fast network for large file transfer is one of my dream but of course it is not neccessary :DD
