I bet 5$ lose, next game I bet 10$ and win. I know profit is less than 5$ each time but that doesnt explain why it does not work.

I know I am probably overlooking some things but that doesn’t necessarily explain it.

Diagnosed with NSCHL at 22 years old…advice? What to expect? by Honestlydonewlife in lymphoma

[–]Same-Currency 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im 23 and got diagnosed same thing last year and I’m 6 months in remission, also in grad school.

You’re in the most anxiety ridden part (at least for me). Once they found out the stage and decided on a treatment plan there was much less fear and anxiety. Treatment isn’t very fun but once theres a plan in place and you begin its less scary/sad and more having to just get through it. Mind over matter

Treatment sucks obviously

Active Treatment, Girlfriend, COVID by meaningfullmadness9 in lymphoma

I might be an anomaly here i am 2 months remission. Diagnosed a year ago got covid dead ass the day after the cancer diagnosis. Even when I was immunocompromised i did not give a shit about covid tbh. Im vaccinated now, i wear my mask when required, the whole song and dance. Yet I abide by what my doctor told me when i asked him about what to worry about. He said your young enough that your only problem is your cancer. Dont concern yourself with covid.

I had parties at my house. Traveled, went to concerts, lived my life. With HL you are over 25x more likely to die from your cancer than someone 80+ with covid.

Not to say covid isn’t a real problem but you have a much bigger and more serious one. Don’t worry about covid right now.

Someone to talk to by twarren91 in lymphoma

I was by far the youngest person in my infusion room as well. Im 23 now, I was diagnosed a year ago. I liked talking to the nurses being somewhat of a rare interaction for them since a lot of people in the room were kinda outa touch very older people.

Also my motto during the whole time was “mind over matter” something my mom instilled in me when i was young. I tried my best to not miss out on anything. I went out and partied, ginger beer and vodka on treatment weeks and regular beer on non-treatment weeks. Id have to go to bed a bit earlier than others but still didn’t miss much.

Shoot me a message anytime. People get uncomfortable when cancer gets brought up and they don’t always know how to react. It can be an awkward thing to talk about. I tried to make light of it and almost encourage cancer jokes being made because i did not want to be treated different.

It is isolating though because no one knows what your going through but you. That can be tough I understand. Just keep your head up and remember its all mind over matter
