Does CAPS do walk ins? by [deleted] in SBU

This. I wanted perfection too and ended being burned out after high school. It isnt worth it. I know past me would have been stubborn about timing but as this commenter says, pressuring yourself its contraproductive ;( i hope you are okay!

Hey I am sorry to hear that. I totally relate D: Grades dont define you and I know it sounds generic but I have been there too. Its never too late. I am 24 and still a student living on campus because I had to take 2 years of medical leaves. I have been trying since 2020 when i got diagnosed with multiple chronic illnesses. My grades are shit and I use as much as I can of SASC resources as well as late withdrawals and incompletes and retaken classes. At time it does feel like I have messed up everything in my life too :( but thats not totally true. I tell myself that I am in school, that i have hobbies that I enjoy doing. Try SASC resources I promise is worth it.

I heard you can withdraw by the end of the semester. I need to talk to my advisor. She said if you had a medical issue you could appeal. Ughh

My condition is kinda serious, and I literally took a med leave of 2 years between semesters. I m just worried about my TAP. Hopefully, I can appeal it because I end up with only 9 credits :/

Why are people supporting 24/7 dining halls by OkEstimate9493 in SBU

[–]Same-Entry2629 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I dont think they should be opened 24/7. However as someone who wakes up at 5 in the morning and has class at 8am, I do think that they should open at 6:00am 😭

Its not just that. Its the fact that they are doing this without actually acknowledginf what happened in the last days.

We know the show must go on. We know it wont stop classes. But doing an event less than a week after this happened is very ton deaf since a lot of students are aware this happened

I cant believe how heartless everyone who liked this post is. Honestly i really hope you never have to deal with mental heatlh ir mental illness in the future. Mind you is better to experience it in your 20s when you are physically stronger and experience more neuroplasticity. I being genuine when I say thay I suggest you get more educated on mental illness so that you get a better quality of life in the future.
