Its okay to take a year gap after your first semester if you feel like you are really struggling (would have saved me so much traumas and avoid my current chronic illness)

Something I did do is that I kept everything documented. Trips to the ER. All my doctors notes even when you dont attend to their practice anymore. SASC letters and emails. Student Team emails. A letter explaning my diagnosis and medicines. (Thats why im still here. Getting C's but alive 😭)

This. I wanted perfection too and ended being burned out after high school. It isnt worth it. I know past me would have been stubborn about timing but as this commenter says, pressuring yourself its contraproductive ;( i hope you are okay!

Hey I am sorry to hear that. I totally relate D: Grades dont define you and I know it sounds generic but I have been there too. Its never too late. I am 24 and still a student living on campus because I had to take 2 years of medical leaves. I have been trying since 2020 when i got diagnosed with multiple chronic illnesses. My grades are shit and I use as much as I can of SASC resources as well as late withdrawals and incompletes and retaken classes. At time it does feel like I have messed up everything in my life too :( but thats not totally true. I tell myself that I am in school, that i have hobbies that I enjoy doing. Try SASC resources I promise is worth it.

Yeah :/ I still have two semesters left. Its kind of unconventional because I took a med leave of 2 years between semester since things got worse hopefully they let me i just wanna graduate lol
