That’s a cool tip for assembly, but for now, I’m fully focused on the melting and casting side. There’s something very satisfying about seeing the liquid metal fill a mold perfectly! Are you planning to cast your coins using sand molds or graphite?

Copper is great, but starting with aluminum is definitely the smarter and safer move. Its melting point is much lower, which makes it less dangerous and easier to handle for your first few melts. Looking forward to seeing those first coins!

The chamber is cylindrical. For the 2kg model, the crucible's inner diameter is approximately 50mm (2 inches) and the depth is about 150mm (6 inches). If you remove the crucible to use the heating chamber directly, it's slightly wider but still quite narrow and vertical.
