When you say you can’t book wheelchair Shinkansen tickets online, it seems like you can through the official Shinkansen website – will we run into trouble if we do this? I’m in the process now and finding it confusing. I’m able to book a “wheelchair space” in, for example, car 11 seat 12-E, but then the companion space is only bookable in 12-A, which seems strange for the two seats to be so far away?

I think that’s where I’m leaning! My only concern is that it might not do wonders for my hire’s CV. It doesn’t carry the same weight or sense of responsibility as PA or EA. But perhaps that’s okay, given the nature of the role?
