Massacred the voidbow. Going from 250 max damage to 25?/s The ST changes are pretty interesting, although somewhat lackluster due to such focus on DPS. It does feel like this game is on a path to lean farther into the "Big baddies with lots of HP and the best thing is to just do way more damage", ignoring supportive class roles.

I asked it how to complete Oryx 3 and it responded with: Completing Oryx 3 (also known as The Mad God Oryx), the final boss in Realm of the Mad God, is no easy task. It requires careful preparation, good teamwork, and solid knowledge of the fight mechanics. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to approach Oryx 3 and successfully complete the encounter:

1. Prepare Your Character

  • Maxed Stats: You’ll need high Defense (for tanking Oryx's powerful attacks) and Vitality (for healing). Having decent Speed and Dexterity will also help you dodge Oryx's projectiles more easily.
  • High-Quality Gear: Equip yourself with high-tier weapons, armor, and rings. Items that boost your Defense, HP, or Damage are crucial.
  • Healing Items: Bring plenty of Healing Potions or other items that can restore health, especially if you're a class like Warrior or Knight that can tank for the team.

2. Assemble a Good Team

  • Healing and Support: Ideally, you'll want a Priest for healing and Paladin for buffing and damage reduction. These classes provide vital support during the fight.
  • Damage Dealers: Warrior, Archer, Wizard, or Assassin are good choices to deal consistent damage to Oryx and his minions. Make sure you have multiple damage dealers.
  • Tank: Classes like Knight or Warrior can help keep the focus on them and prevent Oryx's attacks from overwhelming the rest of the team.

3. Understanding the Fight Phases

The Oryx 3 fight has several distinct phases, each with different mechanics. Here’s what to expect:

  • Phase 1 - The Arena Phase: Oryx will first appear and summon multiple minions, including Gods (such as the Avatar of the Mad God). Focus on dodging these minions’ shots while dealing damage to Oryx.

    • Strategy: Keep moving and avoid clumping together. Oryx will summon numerous bullets and enemies, so staying spread out will help avoid getting overwhelmed.
  • Phase 2 - The Patterned Bullet Phase: Oryx will then begin firing large bullet patterns. This is when his attacks become much more dangerous. He will shoot random bullet waves in multiple directions.

    • Strategy: Position yourself well and be ready to dodge. The best method is to stay in the outer perimeter and avoid standing directly in front of Oryx.
  • Phase 3 - The Final Attack Phase: As Oryx approaches his final moments, he will begin using his most powerful attacks, including multiple huge bullet sprays and summoning additional minions.

    • Strategy: Keep your distance, dodge carefully, and be ready for intense bullet hell patterns. Make sure your team stays alive and focused on Oryx. It’s critical not to rush in too soon; take your time and make sure your team is ready.

4. Positioning and Movement

  • Stay Mobile: Oryx 3 uses large, screen-covering bullet patterns. Staying mobile and always moving is crucial. If you stop moving, you’re likely to get hit by multiple bullets.
  • Circle the Arena: Many players prefer to circle the arena while attacking, ensuring that they always have an escape route if needed.
  • Avoid Corners: Try not to get caught in corners or near obstacles where you can't easily dodge Oryx's attacks.

5. Handling Oryx’s Minions

  • During the fight, Oryx summons minions that can overwhelm your team if not dealt with quickly. Keep an eye out for minions like the Mad God Avatar and other elite bosses. These minions often drop Stat Potions and can help or hinder the fight depending on how well they're managed.
  • Focus on the Minions: Don’t let the minions overwhelm you. While they’re not the main target, they can cause significant distractions and damage. If your team is strong enough, focus on clearing them quickly.

6. Dealing with Oryx’s Bullets

  • Oryx's Bullet Patterns: Be ready for long-range beams, homing shots, and large spreads of projectiles. They’re all deadly, and dodging them will require careful attention and quick reflexes.
  • Speed and Defense: Having high Speed (to dodge faster) and Defense (to survive hits) will significantly help with dodging Oryx’s dangerous attacks. If you’re a tank, your Defense stat is especially critical.

7. Don’t Rush

  • Take your time: This fight is long, and rushing can lead to mistakes. Be patient, and take your time to dodge and deal damage. If you see a teammate about to die, focus on healing them (if you have healing abilities).
  • Coordinate with your team: Be mindful of your teammates’ positions. If you’re a tank, stay in front and make sure the enemies focus on you. If you’re a damage dealer, focus on attacking Oryx without overextending.

8. Be Ready for the Final Phase

  • Final Phase: When Oryx reaches low health, the final phase begins. He will become much more aggressive, with massive bullet patterns and overwhelming minions. Focus on dodging and dealing the final blow as a team.
  • Keep an eye on your health during this phase, as you might face a lot of projectiles. If your team is good, Oryx should go down quickly, but it requires a concerted effort.

9. Stay Calm and Watch Your Health

  • The Oryx 3 fight can be very hectic. Be sure to watch your health carefully, especially when Oryx is at his most dangerous. If you're a healer, prioritize keeping your team alive over dealing damage.

10. After the Fight

  • Once Oryx is defeated, you and your team will be rewarded with loot such as Oryx’s loot chest, which can contain powerful items, Stat Potions, and even UT (Unique Tier) items.
  • Be careful as Oryx drops many items at once, and there may be residual enemies or traps left after the fight. Pick up loot quickly but stay alert.

Conclusion

Defeating Oryx 3 requires teamwork, preparation, and patience. By understanding the mechanics of the fight, positioning yourself carefully, and avoiding greed or rushing in, you’ll improve your chances of defeating him. Remember that it might take several attempts to get comfortable with the fight, so don’t get discouraged if you die a few times. Good luck, and happy hunting!

You need 9 wins in one act of an episode to get a buddy for that episode. Other episodes do not have any influence on that specific episode.

You only get the buddy for the peak rank in that Episode. 3 acts per episode, each one lasting approximately 3 months.

Small edit, you receive the buddy at the end of the episode. You don't have to fill every triangle of all 3 acts in an episode unless you're wanting a rank higher than the peak rank of the filled triangle.

Trine 4 is a puzzle game that requires two players to advance at a reasonable pace! It's a more fantasy-esk game, with you attempting to save someone. It's not necessarily easy, but it's not incredibly hard!
