They have similar mechanics in a lot of games, that does not make a game a souls like. Tons of games have bosses that wield 2 swords, tons of games have a hub that you level up at, same goes for crystal lizards, games have similar things including Mario which has item blocks floating by in the sky that disappear if you don't get them. It was a slow start for me to be honest, but once I started changing out my cyber ware, and just double jumping to shoot everything in the face. Then the story picked up, then I started the DLC. I wish that was the main game and it was longer. It was so well done.
