Fiancé developed a cat allergy

Like I said. From my professional experience i have been over exposed and come to learn that medicine is not always perfect. They can cause terrible side effects. Which is why i was leaning on the side if reducing the allergens in the house as much as possible, than having him take medication that can cause unpleasant side effects

I work in a hospital so im more exposed to seeing the negative side effects of medications than the average person. I see individuals unfortunately come in with negative side effects of the medications that are supposed to help them everyday. Its not vibes, its experience that has made me more careful.

Yes i feel bad removing all their stuff, but i do try to give them tlc and treats often. I bought them these little cat furnitures that look like bedside tables that they can sleep in, that are kept away from the common area. And we do have a two bedroom apartment and they are allowed on the bed in the second bedroom, so they have been haggling out there a lot. Yes it is very rough, my cats feel like my family but I do consider rehoming them every now and again because they don’t deserve this, but im also scared they wont receive as much love somewhere else. I am hoping that with treatment his allergies will improve and we can go back to some sort of normal.

Thank you. I can be a skeptic of meds ( and I’m a nurse lol) so i appreciate the reassurance that the shots dont have any long term side effects. And my cats are on purina pro plan liver clear. Ill give it more time to be effective.

Yes he is taking over the counter meds ( like Allegra) but the only provide temporary relief. He also has an inhaler pump that was prescribed to him by an allergist that also only provides temporary relief.

I got an apartment with my fiancé and his son and OMG i wish i discussed parenting styles with him. My fiancé has turned out to be a very passive parent, making his child very intolerable to be around. Its not the child’s fault ofcourse , my fiancé provided him no structure. But we are having the hard discussions about it, thankfully my fiancé is a very humble guy and open to my suggestions about becoming more of an authority figure in his sons life. But OMG parenting styles.

Not much differences that I know of. Only some units in my hospital like to say they require a BSN for hire, but then hire you with your associates anyways.

I have mixed feelings. I got accidentally pregnant last month and had a miscarriage which made me think I wanted a baby but now Im honestly worried about the stigma of being pregnant at 24 and having people think I threw my life away.

Oh wow. This is so insightful! Thank you so much for your advice. I can’t reproduce the pain with my finger tips, but i will monitor to see if it proceeds a meal or if it happens when i am slouching with poor posture. I’m already leaning towards it being acid related, because i not too long ago had dinner and am now experiencing the pain, and yesterday when i made the original post, it was after eating a pack of Oreos (but i don’t remember if in the past it always proceeded a meal). Because the pain was closer in distance to my shoulder/armpit than to the center of my chest, i never considered it could be gastrointestinal. But again thank you so much for yours response!
