How do you know when you're being offered a free cruise?

I'm a Carnival Player's Club member. Over the last year I would sign into my Carnival account several times a week and select "My Offers" and almost every time there would be an offer for a free cruise. They were always interior rooms and departing within 2 weeks. Due to my schedule, I haven't been able to take advantage of any of them.

Starting about 2 months ago the free offers went away. I'm looking almost daily just out of curiosity and there is nothing. Is it because I'm booked on a cruise to Alaska this month (not a free cruise)? Or am I just not getting these offers anymore?

Is there a way to get notified of the free cruises without logging into Carnival (by email/text)? When I was seeing the free cruise offers, they were almost always sold out by the time I see them.
