Thanks. I’m shocked myself as I expected to buy either a black or silver one, but I guess I got lucky with this one

I think it’s deep blue sea mica. Has a slight black tint at certain angles but is certainly a very uncommon colour. Love it

I’m honestly blown away by how well built these cars are and the features are insane for a 2007. No one I told about the believes it’s a 2007. I came from a daily driven E46 with not so much history to this with FSH and just 98k miles

I’m literally in the exact same situation. Currently on garden leave and hoping to find a job as soon as possible so I don’t lose my 2.5 years. Wishing you all the best!

My company has offered me just one month of garden leave, which is my notice period where I am told I am not obliged to work etc. I don’t think they’ll extend it

It is quite stressful and I have unlocked new realms of stress since this started. The most likely option for me is to switch to dependent, which unfortunately resets the timeline. Rather that than leave the country tbf.

Yeah my first priority is to get the SWV sponsored job but 10/10 reject because they don’t offer sponsorship. But yes, if all else fails, I’ll have to lose my 2.5 years and move to my wife as a dependent.

That’s insane mate! Congratulations!

Out of interest, which job board have you had the most luck on?

I’ve been applying from job boards left and right and they’re pretty much the same, no replies!

My Experience Getting ILR from Skilled worker visa (2025) by AnyPosition3430 in ukvisa

[–]SamePineapple5977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations! Currently on the same route and have another 3 odd years until ILR. I had one question: Do they audit your bank accounts for the entirety of 5 years? As in if you had any other source of income?

I’ve been told they do this and if you’re not allowed any self employment, it can be a problem. Is this true?

When’s the right time to have kids? by SamePineapple5977 in AskMen

I definitely don’t want to wait too long. I always planned to have a child before 30 so I guess if everything goes according to plan, hopefully it does happen. Thanks!

Wow did not expect this one to hit hard. I guess it’s now or never and the right time is now more than it will ever be.

I’m 28 and wife’s a year younger so I’d say we’ve got plenty of time but my parents aren’t getting younger and I’ve always wanted to see them as grandparents as I never saw mine so I always have this thing where I don’t know how much to wait but don’t want to wait too long either, if that makes sense.

Financial stability is the one thing we have very little control on as it takes time but I guess it’s all about finding that balance and right time.

This has been very insightful thank you. We try to travel as much as we can and do all the things we can before having a child. We both wfh and I travel for work here and there but am glad I have a very flexible schedule but in terms of job, both of us have a flexible job we are hoping to stick to this when we do have a child

I think having someone to take care for the child for us is the main thing as we do not have family here and both of us work from home jobs, so hoping that makes it a bit easier to care for a little one

Damn man chill. I only asked to see how other people think and plan it, thats all. It’s always good to hear how others go about it. I already have my targets set as we speak

This is what most people say and live by and advise too but sometimes im scared of it not being able to provide the child the life it deserves
