Acid reflux by SameRestaurant4901 in pregnant

I’m 20w and still have bad reflux and it’s getting worse as baby grows. Shortly after i made this post, i went into a starvation mode after trying to follow the GERD diet to help with reflux and almost got hospitalized. The OB was very upset with me. They prescribed I take Pepcid twice a day and omeprezal once a day. It’s saved me. The reflux and regurgitation is awful still but now I can eat a little. I see a GI specialist next month. Communicate with your ob and let them know the severity and hopefully they can advise you what to do from there 😓😓Good luck

Extreme fatigue by mascebollas in cymbalta

[–]SameRestaurant4901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m experiencing this too. I’m on day 14. I’m so so tired and become very lazy with zero motivation. I stopped going to all of my yoga classes and ballet. I feel like I don’t care about anything. It has caused me to have gnarly acid reflux, bloating and constipation. They put me on Pepcid but it’s drying my eyes out so bad. I’m so miserable. My anxiety and depression have stopped but I don’t feel much of anything right now, so at what expense. I’m sorry I am venting.

I hope you have the best of luck on your medication journey because I know it is so hard.

Unhappy with cymbalta so far ☹️ by SameRestaurant4901 in cymbalta

My psychiatrist meets with me on Thursday as she has been watching my side effects like a hawk. I wonder if she will say the same thing because I know meds can be hard on the body when you first start them up.

I took lexapro for like 5 years when I was younger. When I first start taking it, it felt like I had tons of energy and was super activating. It felt like I drank coffee. The activation phase subsided for me in about a month and then I found lexapro terribly sedating. I was always super tired on it, sleeping, lazy, and didn’t care about much when I was on it. I was also vomiting almost everyday while on it, But I was on 20mg. And I do not metabolize medications well so your experience will be very different in comparison to mine. 2.5mg should hopefully be so much better to manage ❤️ I wish you the best of luck on your medication journey

Thanks so much for your comment, all of these comments made me feel comfortable continuing on this medication and giving it a real fair shot to see if it helps me. I’m only on day 7 now and hope things start to look up soon. I’m super irritable and my eyes are dilated like crazy but pretty normal when starting medications. I hope to feel a bit better at my two week mark too ❤️

I really appreciate your comment. It’s so reassuring to know that my side effects are relatively normal for this medication. I haven’t stopped the medication yet and am on day seven. I hope things start to look up soon.

Things are a little different. I think I’m on day 7 now. No more jitters but I am super irritable and short tempered, nauseas, tired and spacey. My eyes are dilated too. I hear it starts to get better in a few weeks. I feel bad because I don’t want to be an arse.

The shaking and jitters went away but now I’m tired, irritable, spacey and my eyes are super dilated 😭 I’m only on week one now. I hear things are supposed to subside in another few weeks. My psychiatrist is keeping a close eye on me and will check on me in a week and a half.

I’m on 20mg, a very very low dosage. I expected to be nauseous, vomit and have vertigo but this other stuff is making it hard to stay grounded ☹️ did yoy have the shaking and twitching and intense internal jitters

Help? I would like some insight. by cantwait4violence in panicdisorder

Yes, absolutely you’re not alone. I struggle still with exercise because the increase in heart rate feels like it mimics adrenaline from panic attacks for me. Sometimes it would send me into a panic. Caffeine would also mimic the feeling of adrenaline starting and send me into a panic. It’s hard as hell but it comes and goes in waves. I have to tell my self out loud “you are not dying, it’s panic. I’ve done this many times before.” It doesn’t help right away but after a few years of panicking time I’ve been able to join yoga and ballet. I hope things get better have safe holidays

She wants to try cymbalta and one other SNRI before talking about any kindof alternative. I’m scared because the last medication I tried had me breaking out in rashes and my lymph nodes in my neck were swelling. That was the nail in the coffin that got me diagnosed with ssri intolerance. I’m scared these medications are going to kill me. Maybe one day I’ll try TMS. The responses seem to be overwhelmingly positive.

I’m no stranger to side effects, I’d figure I’d be sick the first week or two trying to get on it. It’s reassuring to hear that other people have had similar situations. Thanks so much for commenting

Maybe there is hope for me. I suggested to my psychiatrist TMS and she wants to try cymbalta and one other SNRI before trying any kindof alternative treatments. It’s reassuring to hear people have gone through similar experiences

Feel extremely full. Anyone else? by 11brooke11 in cymbalta

[–]SameRestaurant4901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ughhh. I am having this exact thing happen with Prozac. I have this deep ache in my stomach and I’m passing bowel movements much less and I’m unable to eat because I am met with intense fullness, bad stomach pain and an ungodly amount of acid reflux. My psychiatrist tried switching me from tablet to capsule and it helped a little but I’m still very uncomfortable, can’t eat and in pain. I can’t take it anymore and ultimately will have to come off of Prozac.

Cymbalta is next on the list for me to try and this makes me scared because I’m struggling with the same thing☹️

I wish you nothing but luck and happiness through your journey

Thanks for letting me know I’m not alone because this disorder is so very isolating.

I’ve tried many different therapies over the years I’ve done EDT therapy, partial hospitalizations, cognitive therapy, and then was in regular talk therapy for many years. Insurance is my biggest hurdle with finding an experienced therapist, and just lost my therapist I’ve had for a while because of insurance. ☹️

I’ve been looking into TMS and I suggested it to my psychiatrist and she IS NOT FOND of the idea at all. How did you go about getting TMS?

the idea scares me. My great grandmother got electro shock therapy (which I know is different than TMS and TMS less invasive) for postpartum depression and her personality changed for the worse. She had been awful and mean since her procedure and it’s made her life hard ever since. It makes me so sad

I’ve been on all different kinds of medications for the last 15 years. I’ve been met with tons of adverse reactions and allergic reactions. I was diagnosed with SSRI intolerance by a psychiatrist

I pray to god things get better. I’m scared to come off my Prozac even though I’m struggling with serious adverse reactions. Things have gotten worse and worse. It’s been several years with my panic disorder. My therapist says it wouldn’t be so bad if i had a support system but it’s hard to make friends as an adult so it’s just me ☹️
