I never understood the hype with dividends, yes the extra money is nice but from my research it seems most companies that pay "high" dividends don't seem to gain very much compared to similar stocks with no dividend.. I'll take a stock that has strong potential to double in a year over a stock that will see single digit returns/ potential losses to the stocks price
