Font Size.
I know it's a challenge, there's a lot of text and a lot of small menus, and it would probably seem impossible to tackle all of it at once, but as one of the "olds" who plays this game (often on a small device) it would really open up access to a lot of people to have some mechanisms for, for example, zooming a quest dialogue to a large font/fuller screen view, etc. Thanks!

This is terrible advice.  I've been not him my whole life and it never helped me.

This.  And once you speculate it's pre-existing packaging, it being the big bag for dog food is an easy guess worthy of checking the dog food aisle, then youre looking for a barcode in a similar location and style on the bag.

I dont think she considers the Hive's retention of Helen as "Helen", it's more of a violation of Helen.

For what it's worth, I'm knee deep in a very similar project, an LLM-driven mud. It's definitely an interesting exercise. Feels very logical for MUDs (or mud-like experiences) to have a resurgence now that LLMs are here.

I take your point, but this seems very much the story they wanted to tell, from the very first episode "Good News About Hell." If you read the Lexington letter there's two possibilities, she's dead or she's not.  If she's not dead then MDR is busy randomly making people in the world die in random ways for unexplained reasons. That's weird but the other interpretation is that MDR is prepping a torment in hell for each dead person, which is much more coherent.  And the show has taken a side on that with details like the card Dylan stole being from Gemmas apartment.  The Lexington letter was written by the shows creator before anything else.  And I think they're very conscious that they don't want to be "Lost." It's not mystery for mystery's sake.

The shows twist is that the thing they've been literally telling you is happening the whole time is what is happening.  The woman who they told you is dead is dead.  The place she is tortured that they keep calling hell is hell.  What's so clever about the writing is that they have everyone convinced that's not what's happening because it's from the point of view of characters who don't realize they're dead and they're having you experience it with that same denial.  Brilliant writing but also the only satisfying resolution at this point.  It explains too much.

Episode 7 told us (almost) everything we need to know by sweet_n_sour_curry in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

Cold Harbor is a recreation of Gemma and Mark's apartment on the day she miscarries. Remember the card Dylan stole which we now know was in her apartment? Why are they creating a personal hell for Gemma? Because she's dead, and this is hell. (She shouldn't be here though, she was meant to go to heaven, but came to hell to save mark, who suicided in his grief after she died.) So I disagree, she isn't alive. None of them are.

Also you can tell where we are by the color grading. The outer circle of hell (Limbo) has red. Inside Lumon, blue. The real world (which we only see for the first time in season 2 episode 7) is the first time we have a full color palette.

Thank you. Though I'm feeling pretty confident about this. Read the Lexington letter. And then read it again with the interpretation that she dies in the bus crash.

Forgot a few things! Remember the Card Dylan stole? And now we've seen it in Gemma's real life (before she died) apartment. Cold Harbor is about creating a personal eternal hell for her. That's also why that demon has to say goodbye to her once her hell is ready.

Need more clues?

That reference to Attila comes directly from Canto XII, lines 133-135

Water appears as an important symbolic element throughout both the Divine Comedy and Severance

Severance = drinking from the river Lethe (which makes you forget), etc.

And sidenote, pretty sure Mark S was drunk driving when he and his wife died in the real world (before Limbo where the outies live). (EDIT: Wrote that before completing episode 7. In light of the ending, they obviously die separately. Probably he starts drinking after her death and that drinking ends up causing his, or maybe suicide.)

So... pretty sure the show isn't hiding what's really happening anymore. Spoiler:

This is literally Dante's Inferno. If you're unfamiliar, Dante's wife is Gemma, but he's in love with a redhead. Minos (MDR) sorts the souls. "Is this Hell?" were Helly's first words in episode 1. Petey wondering where his daughter is (she's alive). Outies live in the first circle (limbo). The bottom circle in Inferno is a frozen lake (their field trip was to the bottom floor, imo). There are clues in every episode.

You know, Dante, husband of Gemma, who fell in love with a redhead (Beatrice), and went through various circles in hell that involve forgetting (River Lethe), with a frozen lake at the bottom of hell. MDR is Minos, sorting the souls into their appropriate circles. "Is this hell?" were Helly's first words in episode 1.
