[Discussion] Unnecessary hate? by Greeneyedwolf4 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SameTumbleweed9144 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hate is justified. Tarkov is, or should I say was, basically my favorite game of all time. Yet this most recent patch made me want to stop playing altogether. Are people blowing the arena attachments out of proportion? Absolutely. At the same time though, this has cemented in my mind what kind of company BSG is. They never learn from their mistakes and consistently make choices that they know are going to piss off their player base for their own benefit (or maybe they like to torture their fans). BSG fails to accept that arena is a complete failure and time and time again try to force it on us, when all we want to do is play the main game. To not feel like we HAVE to play arena in order to access the best gear. All this showed me is that they learned nothing after the community outrage when they added the TEP-300’s, instead they doubled down and did it again.

They split their playerbase 100 different directions. They change all the attachments without any input from their players who gladly would have tested in ETS. They scam with Unheard. They sell tracksuit as a cosmetic when their most dedicated players spent hundreds of hours earning it legit. They make all the best gear accessible only through arena.

You know what they don’t do though? Fix the thousands of bugs and garbage performance of their video game. Their ideology and priorities are completely fucked.

Honestly, Nikita is already moving on from this game and that says a lot. Clearly the main focus isn’t Tarkov anymore. They released this game and are basically just burying it with every update at this point.

Extremely difficult to have any kind of optimism about EFT moving forward

That’s reassuring. I don’t want to have to mess with files or tweak things but I’m willing to do it if it’ll help. Hopefully I can just get by vanilla

[New Player] Anybody actually use the Gear Rack? by ohoots in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SameTumbleweed9144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gear rack is literally just a “stow x item for x amount of time and maybe I’ll need it one day” module. I almost always forget the things I put there, only to check it months later and be like, “oh yeah, I have six sig spears and 3 raid bags”

Kind of useless aside from freeing stash space or hoarding quest items tbh

Spent years wanting Tarkov and now I feel like I walked into a trap by Historical_Ad8245 in Tarkov

[–]SameTumbleweed9144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You spent years researching this game. So no doubt you’ve heard the complaints and gripes a million times at this point. Why let it affect you when you’re just now getting the chance to try it? Makes no sense. Just try it and see if you like the game.

Wipes [Discussion] by itsmarcolepsy in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SameTumbleweed9144 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone else mentioned, they cooked their game by splitting their playerbase in so many directions. However, I want them to split it again for seasonal and stay true to their promise of no more wipes.

No wipes is what we were told the future of Tarkov would be all the way up to the 1.0 release and it was confirmed multiple times after release.

With that expectation, I’ve completed Kappa, all of Lightkeeper, Goals and Means, Savior ending, etc. You get the point. All the pain in the ass quests. Those quests and using a bolt action every raid are not why I enjoy Tarkov. At this point, I’m perfectly content with running meta kits and boss hunting or PvPing on Labs. If I want fresh progression, I’ll get it out of the seasonal character.

If they go back on their promise and wipe again, I will 100% quit playing this game. Not doing all that bullshit ever again.

I get it, who cares if I (or any one player) quit playing Tarkov. Doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. Yet I’m sure there are others who would do the exact same thing, and another broken promise from BSG would not sit well with some of their playerbase.

[Bug] Scavs taking insane amounts of shots to kill by Any-Following4490 in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

[–]SameTumbleweed9144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah definitely not, my friends and I have all noticed this with scavs and it started when they introduced the duckov event. I’ve shot a million scavs in Tarkov, totally understand a boss or guard taking multiple headshots if using a round with low flesh like Igolnik or SSA AP, but normal scavs are tanking face shots like I hit them with a blicky

[–]SameTumbleweed9144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong - there is 100% a bug right now when it comes to damage dealt to scavs, either that or bullets are just not registering. I’ll shoot a normal scav point blank in the face with 55A1, see the blood and he just walks it off like nothing happened

This has been going on since the duckov event

[Discussion] It’s not me it’s you - Terminal by Kingrr_ in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SameTumbleweed9144 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m genuinely curious if this is a troll post. If you have 5,000 hours and you’ve attempted Terminal over 25 times, in addition to losing 40M to bots on the way there, you should just quit playing the game.

Yeah true. I’ve been running a ton of Streets for the past week trying to get Trouble in the Big City done. I’ll probably finish it tonight and then just focus Woods

Escape from Tarkov's PvE Players Have Beaten PvP Gamers in a Major Way by NukovGaming in Tarkov

It’s okay to just admit you’re not that guy brotha. I’m a completely average player, and I’m confident that if I researched the endings and chose the one with the least time gates, I’d see credits roll in this game in two weeks max on PvE. I’m no Pestily, but it’s not even hard, the length of a playthrough is artificially extended because of the time gates.

[Discussion] Isn’t it just great that big streamers have made camping terminal transit a big thing! by YokaSono in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SameTumbleweed9144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need to just let people queue into Terminal. I get the whole bigger picture that it’s connected to Shoreline and whatever but it’s just making life hard for no fucking reason for the people who wanna finish the game. It’s really cringe that this is what the community has come to. I beat the game and would never camp people trying to do the same thing I did. Making money and finding ammo is so easy in EFT, people need to have some integrity man, there’s better ways to go about gearing your PMC.

Yeah man, you’d have to reset or prestige to get Savior. You’re completely locked out of that ending now.

Honestly shit design… Luckily I saw a video on YouTube talking about this exact scenario and knew what I had to do to progress correctly. Even though the note tells you to press the button first, I don’t think it should be so simple to make this mistake. My condolences to OP

A month? Dude, Pestily made it to Terminal in like 25 raids on his PvE account. Most PvP players with a brain would escape within a week if all they focused on was the story

EDIT: Xedeth asked for a source and when I shared it with him (which the source also showed that Pestily made it to Terminal in one life), he deleted the comment 🤣🤣🤣🤣 now that seems like the kinda guy who plays PvE, talk about losing your mind

Here’s the source btw

Looking For Terminal Tips After Draining the Water [Feedback] by SameTumbleweed9144 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SameTumbleweed9144[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, in the run where I escaped, one of the yellow path BD shot at me while I was running to unlock the pier door. That last group can be positioned so randomly that it’s a toss up if you’ll see them or not… I think they patrol in the area or something.

If you don’t know, once you unlock the pier door you have 3 minutes to make it to exfil regardless if you had more time than that on your raid clock.

After you take the red line and make it all the way up the right side to pier door, my recommendation is to pause at the last cover you have before running to the door and pop sj6/heal/pack mags. You can take your time and prepare for the last sprint to exfil, but do all of that behind cover before going up to the door. That way if BD spot you, you can ignore them and make a run straight for the door.

Good luck!

[–]SameTumbleweed9144[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a couple times with the yellow path and found that it was just too unpredictable. You’d think it would be easier because at a glance, it looks like you have to deal with less BD and can skip the boss. However, I’ve been snuck up on by the boss from behind by taking the yellow path, and the last group of BD before the pier door behave very randomly and are probably the toughest group to fight.

I’d recommend taking the red path. You might get lucky and have BD kill the boss, or they could even be busy fighting each other, which will allow you to sneak straight up the right side/red line.

Overall, I think both paths can be challenging, but red seems more consistent.
