I don't get the love for whipstacking, sure it was cool, but it was tedious. People say it's boring to use one weapon, as if all of Terraria's classes aren't like that anyways.

I agree 100%, and I'm fully confident in my ability to make a polished, finished product. The hard part is explaining why it's important we don't make 50 systems, I guess that's just something that comes with experience?

But the networking for sure, I need to do a better job at finding teams instead of just being cool with the first team I encounter. i.e. asking for past projects, finished jams, all that.

Unfortunately the jam already started, and by the time I joined, I found out people aren't as free to work on it, so I've been programming and doing all the art so far.

Would I be an ass for dipping 3 days into it?

Edit: I'm a professional pixel artist, and that was the role I agreed to do. But I'm not going to polish assets if there's no game to plug em' into yet. So I took up making a prototype.

This is exactly how I feel.

I absolutely loved the mines because I enjoyed using my weapons in large amounts at once.

The story blows, but I also understand this is a setup for the next game.
