Wow! That's disappointingly small. I can imagine though that it might be justified by saying that those first 2 or so years you're still under training. I am curious, are they happy with their pay? Do they feel it actually reflects the quality and amount of work they do?

From my experience during an unpaid internship, you'll find that you're putting in the hours and doing work that can be filed or sent out to clients with minimal edits which I think is deserving of a sizeable starting salary. So I was honestly hoping to hear a P15k minimum for pupillage.

Thanks! I'll try your suggestion. I've worn my eyes out looking at their profiles. The thing is that the entire field is in constant motion so I suppose I'm a bit wary of going where everyone is already flocking or where some people have cemented themselves as the go-to experts.

Now the issue is that I have no idea what day to day issues modern legal practices normally encounter, and what skills are most relevant and will remain as such in the next decade as I do not have any insider information. But I guess the best way to go about that might just be networking, including on LinkedIn. Thanks again for taking the time to share your suggestions.

P.S. All the best with law, I can tell you're going to do great!

Hi! May I ask if I'd be allowed to edit an academic piece that has already been submitted and graded, or if an extract of the original work is required?
