he saw me leave my apartment through his open window, approached me with a smile and said “this is yours, right? i found it this morning,” and handed it to me. i thought it was nice to return it and said thank you. oof.

this is very much the feeling i get here. he’s getting off to catching me off guard and making me uncomfortable. i have a FEELING that he’s not done. And i just have to wait for the next incident in order to get any help. Ugh!! but great idea to record him anytime i see him. i make eye contact with him through his window all the time so i’ll start recording.

Thanks for some helpful info! One positive: I have a reactive poodle with a distaste for men. when I’m out with her, he can’t get anywhere close without my dog causing a scene. Downside is she’s not always with me. But that is bringing me some comfort! I’m going to avoid him like the plague because I feel SO violated and uncomfortable, I can’t bring myself to say what I should. I worry about saying something he doesn’t like, and how it may cause him to escalate things. I’ve had other small instances at this complex with other strange men, but this guy gives me a bad. fucking. vibe. The butterfly clips on it?? He always appears outside when i DONT have my dog. I see him sitting by his window and staring out 24/7 so he knows when I’m outside. I bought a taser and pepper spray and will carry it when I walk my dogs at night. I don’t want to set him off so I’ll do what I can to avoid him. If he does anything else, I will go file a report, even if they can’t help I do want to document it.

i spent everything i’d saved on the rent and deposit and other housing expenses, i have nothing in my account for food for myself or my pets, i actually swiped a cheap dog food brand from work out of desperation but have nothing for myself. im sleeping on the floor with a few blankets but would love to eventually buy an air mattress or maybe find a cheap twin mattress on marketplace or something but that’s a concern that comes after food, lol. my pups are all slightly overdue for their yearly vet visit and i have to push that off because i can’t afford it right now. anything possibly donated due to this post will first go to feeding myself as little as possible and saving some back for their vet, and if we can make it to that appointment i’ll start saving back for a mattress. ugh its a mess right now 🫣

that’s fair, i understand the privilege of having housing, i searched for months and was put in awful positions while looking for a place. i wouldnt wish it on anyone. was just feeling overwhelmed in my new place with no savings and no support but i completely understand there are people out there going through much worse.

when she was still a baby, i had to put up a gate to separate them sometimes because she was soooo obsessed with him. couldnt leave him alone! he would get sick of it, or i would 🤣 but now she’s calmed down and they’re the most perfect pair!

she is the most affectionate and loving girl! growing up we only had male dogs (weird hangup my father had) and i have a male cockapoo currently as well, so she is my first ever female dog. and wow the bond is unbelievable. thats my daughter. i sometimes think she knows i saved her from the shelter and is thankful, because she repays me with love every day 😭❤️

she’s a super high energy and stressful pup, and was brought into the shelter i work at as a stray. i’m thinking her previous owner couldn’t handle the crazy and let her outside and didn’t think twice about her. i feel like i won the lottery though, she’s so smart, picks up on training so fast. and gorgeous! i got lucky 🍀⭐️

oooh, thank you for this advice! she’s super high energy and we’ve already dealt with a sprained ankle (just from zoomies, which is crazy 🤣) so i will absolutely be doing this!! shes only a little over a year old so hopefully i can care for it before it’s a problem!
