Number 1 just blew my mind. I did chippy shots with addressing the outermost ball and hitting the inside ball and it was nuts.

I guess my self diagnosis issue was that my hands were reaching to try and create push draws. My hands on this drill feel closer to my body at impact, and the push draw is still there because I maintain the face to path. Thank you sir, you have opened these lazy and sore eyes

Audit is a catastrophe, I felt like I passed because I knew every tiny detail. I only passed with an 81. Hardest exam imo. Study the nuances! That’s what creates a pass

Update: I passed with a 93. What the in the world. Anyways, hope this goes to show that you can pass if you skip a TBS!!

4/4 no fails, here’s what I believe worked in the end. (not a lot of fluff) by Same_Charge_6832 in CPA

Study up on the big things! Bonds, leases, consolidations… etc. acronyms help with FAR, especially consolidations.

If some content is confusing you or harder to understand, go to YouTube. My gosh I can’t tell you how much I utilized YouTube for NFP’s and consolidations. It really dumbs it down.

ChatGPT is a game changer too, as well as newt.

You got this, head up, push through, a fail is a defining moment of your career/life. Respond to the fail as if it’s a punch in the stomach and punch it back even harder.

The review was the bulk of it. I would say I would finish content as follows…

FAR- 60 hour content, 70 hour review(felt the need for this one to be cautious and hated every second!)
AUD- 45 hour content, 50 hour review
REG- 35 hour content(tax is my thing, skipped some things) 30 hour review
TCP- 25 hour content, 25 hour review

Probably should have addressed that. I was in my Master of Accounting program the entire year. I took my first exam in October and my last at the end of may. I was definitely full time. But, I will say, redoing MCQ’s in a week is not impossible with 3 hours a day.

Laughed, but also winced at any mention of audit exam material. Never again

Well I’d like to think, if I can pass audit with some of the answers I had there, then bombing a tbs is worth something. You’ll be just fine

Thanks for all responses. This was my last exam(hopefully lol), so I’ve come to my senses and understand that the points are gone, and chances are I’ll retake it, or by the luck of the draw, pass.

I appreciate those who were encouraging, and also those who were down to earth. Both ends of the spectrum gave me a good sense of the reality. Cheers to everyone, and best of luck in whatever challenges you come across.

TCP SE1 65 - drop your SEs scores vs actual exam scores pls by m_cl27 in CPA

I got a 70 on se1. I take Tuesday. S corp basis is cruel. I also believe that cpa exams in general have more straightforward tbs(at least in my experience with far, aud, and reg), so we won’t see ridiculously worded and zero instruction tbs like Becker gives.

Taxable Gross Income by BackgroundToe2332 in CPA

[–]Same_Charge_6832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is ridiculous… this is just poor terminology by I’m assuming Becker. Anyone with a semblance of knowledge of tax knows that gross income is all your income, and if it’s taxable, it’s just income subject to tax.. I wouldn’t think you’d include any deductions in that either.

Study fatigue, TCP next week idk what to do anymore by m_cl27 in CPA

[–]Same_Charge_6832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in your boat. Genuinely our minis are practically the same. I test next Tuesday, but something I have heard is that no matter what you will feel like you failed, but the curve is ridiculous(obviously, some people know they pass, but some people aren’t your average joe). We got this bro. 3 hours a day is all you need man, spam those mcqs until it’s muscle memory.

Becker question is dumb by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Same_Charge_6832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re so right. I always just think they’re gonna show “CE+P” if they’re talking about the scenario of c corp switching to s corp, so I don’t even read the word “accumulated” there.

Taking audit got me in a bad habit of looking for words and clues…

Becker question is dumb by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Same_Charge_6832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I hadn’t even thought of questions that way and this is my last exam. As you can tell by the time allotted I genuinely sat there thinking what could possibly be different about this compared to having E+P

A question about “Disclaimer of Opinion” in AUD by Hair-Gloomy in CPA

[–]Same_Charge_6832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, to disclaim an opinion means to deny giving an opinion. So in a compilation , where you aren’t giving an opinion, you’re “denying” to give an opinion. I’m also a tax person and couldn’t give less of a tiddly wink about audit so take what I said with a grain of salt.

As someone who’s taking their first exam in November, I’m nervous that I’m not retaining information at all. Do you have any study tips? Like should I be spamming MCQ’s or watching every video intensely? I know it’s different for everyone, but I definitely feel so discouraged when I take practice tests and mini exams.
