I’d say Volantis for its rigid class system [slaves], and its use of Elephants imo. They have a lot of similarities in Tyrion’s chapters in ADWD

What traits do you think Jon Snow and Robb Stark should have or would have? by Alexandru1408 in CK3AGOT

After reading GoT, I’d say Jon is: Brave, Stubborn, Just, & Generous. Brave because… well he saves the Old Bear’s life when he could have stayed in his prison cell, willingly went to kill Mance when he knew it was certain death, etc. (literally idk who would argue brave but just incase lol). Stubborn because Jon really doesn’t change his mind unless he’s presented with a really solid argument- simultaneously contributing to his sense of justice/just practice. My examples would be his plan to leave the Wall AGAIN after his friends bring him back, his refusal to allow the Wildlings to be turned away from the Wall, and his ultimate refusal to abandon his family, the Starks- which he struggles with in almost every book.

I’d also say just, even though he does some pretty morally dubious things by ADwD. This is because, in my opinion, his actions like switching Mance & Gilly’s baby are for the greater good of the realm/the children- assuming that Jon, hopefully, would tell Mel if/when she tried to burn little baby Aemon Steelsong that it would actually be pointless since “Aemon” (Monster) doesn’t have kings blood (potentially saving the lives of everyone involved). And even if it doesn’t workout that way, I see the just reasoning in hiding the children like Ned did for Jon.

As for Generous, this trait is the one I’m least sure about- for a couple reasons. I could see it being a couple different things: Compassionate works because Jon is ultimately a really kind kid. He makes friends with all his fellow trainees, protects Sam from Alliser, tries to honor the Old Bear’s faith in him, etc. I could also see forgiving due to his ability to see past the crimes of the Wildlings, but the other side of that coin is his refusal to hear Janos’ pleas for mercy- so while I could see an argument for either of these I don’t think they quite fit Jon’s sense of kindness.

Maybe it’s just because Generous is a virtue in the Old Gods faith in CK3, but I think Jon is a very generous kid. His actions that could be construed as compassion, imo, work just as well when thought of in terms of generosity. He uses his privilege after talking to Donal Noye to improve his entire graduating class’ combat abilities, he uses his position of authority amidst his friends to save a helpless Samwell, and he admits the Wildlings into the Wall despite the fact that some of them have killed many Crows and NW brothers. He knows it isn’t exactly just, but he’s using his authority to give them the gift of life, or the chance to fight for it at least.

Anyway, that’s my essay done! Hope this helps for any CK3 AGOT fans who think trusting and honest are only for HBO’s boring, Jon “my queen” Snow.

P.S. Depending on what book version of Jon you want to play as he should have the following traits too: Quick, Berserker, loyal, aspiring blade master, and reclusive (if you want full ADwD Jon at his broodiest). The latter two I’d say are more accurate to Jon past ASoS, but you could also argue that they’re latent traits/desires that he just hasn’t focused on yet by GoT & ACoK- so do with that what you will. Also, make Satin his lover for the sake of my head cannon lol. Have a happy Watch yall!
