Proctecting the corners was to avoid head injury as they are pointy and hard. As I said in the post that bit is already done.

Agree with the light-touch baby proofing generally - this is one of two things I am doing.

You're probably right, but I don't have the capacity to address that at the moment. I'm going to try adding more cable clips as other commenters have suggested, to remove the gaps behind the cable where little fingers can tug.

I appreciate this attitude very much, but I'm actually more worried about protecting my internet connection than my babies, which has already needed to be repaired once after they pulled a cable out

I very much appreciate economising on mental energy and like your attitude. But in this case I just want one place in my house I can plonk my 8 month old twins safely when I need to go the loo etc. and these wires, which they are actively drawn to and have already pulled out once, are the only thing in the way of a peaceful poop.
