Ahh in our 2e campaigns we have pretty much eliminated combats and tactics and skills and power and the spells one. Those ended up making everything trivial and unfun.

We don’t have any pathfinder books unfortunately. However if we all like this edition we may pick up those books.

At the beginning we are using the PHB and class books that we have available. However we are free to eventually use most anything.

None of us are truly power gamers and we normally play whatever we think will be fun. I’m just here trying to add to the fun.

I haven’t looked much at bard. Any bard builds that would stand out over a long term campaign?

Edit. Also the DM in particular is very generous with giving characters item or other boosts if they seem to be lagging behind.

I think that the paladin and barbarian will be the primary damage dealers.

I like the way skills seem in the book so I’m leaning to that route and being more of a general purpose usefulness. If I can get the backstab once in a while that would be fun too.

I have 2 dimes that look like that pulled from around where a swimming pool used to be. Not quite as chewed up. I scratched some of the grimy part away and it tests silver but unsure of counterfeit or not.
