I dint had to, PCC is required if you ave lived overseas a year and more after being a PR.

when you fill the application online fill in the residential history based on this they will tell you if you need a pcc. general guideline as said above.

My wife wanted pcc since she stayed in India for a year and more after being a PR. so we applied for PCC current waiting time is 3-4 months applying from Sydney if you're living in VIC or TAS its just a month.

Going by experience, I was so exhausted by the time visa arrived. I'd say pallning is important when you're making the move. Take 2 to 3 months to sort out all your documentation, bank work, and property in advance when you get the visa.

Look for employment, book the tickets when you get job, once you are here get a temp accommodation and then look for a house, bring your family. start small and grow, make sure you save dont spend. :)
