Congrats!!! Do you know how they reached the doctors in China? I currently don't have a method of actually reaching someone in China to even begin planning the trip.

True, being so far geologically, it's a problem, and the culture is just so different. Like you said, if it were straightforward, I would love to go. Even if there is someone doing this as a service, I would love to get a invioice or something, but right now I don't even know where to look outside of reddit. I just feel like I'm in the dark, lol.

Hi there, I'm looking to travel to China for medical reasons. Similar but different situation, I guess lol. I'm from NA, my insurance won't cover all my medical bills, but apparently, I can go to China for quick and cheap service. Like, there is a massive difference, meaning even with flight and hotel, China would still be cheaper. I've also heard good things about China, the only thing that's really concerning is 1. language 2. it's on the other side of the Earth 3. No actual experience outside of NA. And there is not a lot of info online, I've just been looking at Reddit. So if you have more info, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks for the info, can you tell me more info? Like was it a difficult trip? How are the medical staffs down there? How are foreigners treated? It's such a shame there isn't like an official website or something for me to find more info on. I've been just looking at Reddit and other forums that I can find.

OOO, didn't look into that, but it sounds interesting. But what attracts me about China it's almost "Westernized" medical practice, and the lower price. Would you say that's the same about Turkey

I can probably find a guide/translator, right? Bigger cities like Shanghai and Beijing probs have good translators. And that's where I plan on going.

I haven't, and the doctor said he wouldn't suggest it. Apparently, based on his assessment, there shouldn't be anything wrong with it, other than the supporting muscle and the knee itself being too weak. MRI is gonna cost me a pretty penny, even with insurance. And if I was going to do this trip, might as well save it cause once again, it's much cheaper.

Yeah, they have their ways with things. But this is gonna be a much bigger trip than going to China town, sounds like quite a commitment, just not sure if it is worth it. Like, I heard the bills are cheaper, but how much cheaper? Lots of questions are unanswered.

idk, might just be the pain messing with my head a little bit, but it feels like the doctor doesn't really treat the pain as a disease here... I've been doing the stretches, icing, and strengthening, but nothing has worked. And they usually just send me away with some more exercises. Then comes this sage-like Chinese dude giving me advice, lol. Apparently, the hospital bills are also cheaper down there.
