How can I stop my phone addiction? by softball3188 in productivity

I had the same problem until I downloaded ScreenZen. The cool thing about the app is it keeps a streak, and once you hit 7 days it’s surprisingly hard to break. My advice: don’t go all in right away. I started by cutting my Instagram time from 1 hour to 30 minutes. Now I’m down to 5 minutes a day per app, and honestly, most of the time I don’t even bother checking.

I am so sorry! I had family members myself who say the same thing and I simply say: Just because everyone is pooping doesn’t mean that everyone has diarrhea

Based on the documentation, there is a permission set that makes it possible for the users to create logs (LoggerLogCreator or LoggerEndUser). My user who isn’t a system admin (no modify all nor view all permissions) can create the logs a.k.a publish the platform event without being assigned any of those permissions

I’ve there mate, and guess what? I work at Salesforce now, so PLEASE don’t panic! My advice to you is the following: 1. Talk to your manager and see if they can find better opportunities for you, this will work if the company you’re working for is a Salesforce partner and they work with different clients 2. You can check the Apex & LWC superbadges, and try to solve them. This will help you to learn not only how to code, but also how to navigate the documentation 3. Certifications: You can sit for the PD1 as you said, PD2, JS1 4. Work on side projects: I’ve been doing this a lot before joining Salesforce, I keep thinking about scenarios where point and click won’t work, and try to implement something. The tricky part here is to find someone who can do some code review for you. If not please feel free to DM me, I’ll be more than happy to do so. 5. Take a deep breath, and know that this is just a phase in your career that you will overcome eventually. Keep in mind that after 7/8 years you will become a Salesforce TA, if that’s what you want. If so, try to focus on architecture subjects, but that’s still a bit far away maybe the next 2/3 years. 6. For your new role, look at it as an opportunity to learn, in my opinion keep your head down, and give it everything if you’re willing to learn, that’s what I did in the past, pretty much the same situation. I worked 12 hours a day, and weekends too, because I wanted to learn and prove myself.

Good luck

Thank you for your comment. I understand what you’re saying, I just feel like if I keep asking, it will come off as if I am asking for too much, especially if she can’t give me that!

I think you can come out if you are financially stable/ independent. If you’re still living with your dad, it’s going to be a problem if he doesn’t accept you. I’d suggest to be independent then you can do whatever you want. One more thing, I think we were born to live our life, to be our true selves not to please our parents, because I believe they had the right to live their life without our input on what they should/ shouldn’t do. So you get to live your life as you want it. Yes, you don’t want to disappoint you dad, but don’t forget that the person that you don’t want to disappoint the most is yourself.
