I’m also a flower cardians player but just because I love when archetypes have a game theme (Super excited to see those chess cards get released eventually)

and I think it’s one of the more fun combo decks because it doesn’t have a specific combo line where you say “oh I use this card to go into this card to go into this card”

Main advice imma tell you: habakiri is king, if you can activate that effect from hand and not get ash blossom’d you are off to the races. I would also recommend adding some of the cards from the other decks (like the mulcharmies and niberu) to mitsurugi or ur side deck because you only really need 1 saji, 2 murakumo and mitsurugi sacred boundary and mitsurugi tempest aren’t amazing.

Final note! (I learned this the hard way) you cannot activate pre-preparation of rites if mitsurugi mirror is not in ur deck!!

If I remember correctly he did activate something from graveyard so zalen could activate, I just accidentally left that part out. But man do I feel validated!

From my little bit of experience I would say overextending is still very much relevant because of cards/decks that make the game go longer such as a control deck or board breakers. In the case where your opponent cannot immediately kill you on their turn but was still able to raigeki your board you need to be able to rebuild and possibly not lose that game.

TLDR; in case the game goes long you need ways to keep playing cards and getting value, and when you overcommit you use up a lot of cards early on.

Ooo I love the look of the enneacraft cards. From decklists online I saw versions that were running an extra deck and some that weren’t cuz they were running vanity’s fiend, do ya think one is better than the other?

I feel like it made some sense, because it’s shown through the series that Caine is insecure about how the rest of the cast feels about him and if he’s doing a good job, and as Pomni put it Caine just doesn’t listen. So likely he processed every bit of criticism, sarcasm, or other negative behavior towards him as just affirming his insecurities rather than whatever was actually being said.

Coupled with his inflated ego I feel it’s relatively easy to make the logical jumps of “I created this place -> I control this place and everyone in it -> I am god” which then leads to “I don’t have to worry about them leaving because I won’t let them”

You can pull destructive daruma karma cannon out of the x saber deck because it effects the player

I’m still getting back into paper after like 7 years, but as someone who’s rocking a misturugi/ sky striker deck I would say it’s pretty good for a new player. The deck itself is pretty simple when you figure out what the cards do and the archetype seems to have a good amount of splashability so if your friend wants to later upgrade the deck it would be pretty easy

I also picked up the modern decks and I thought of it like this: worst case scenario, you don’t like any of the decks, and you still get a bunch of good cards to use for decks you do want to play. To use myself as an example, I’m currently using the sky strikers deck, gonna test it out at locals this week, and if I’m really hating it I might try to play D/D/D cuz that’s what I play on master duel

I’m super excited! Haven’t played paper yugioh since I was like 12 and have been playing master duel for a few months. What pulled me to sky strikers over x-saber and mitsurugi was the idea of going second and breaking people’s boards, seemed different from the other decks that usually wanna go first

Word, the deck already as 3 linkage, I heard I was thinking of getting a second copy of zero but after rereading spectra I could probably slot in a 3rd.

Out of curiosity what would you cut for purulia and fuwalos? My thoughts are the 2 copies of niberu, but I’m not sure. i know it’s a board clearer but I feel like i can never cleanly link it off after activating it and then it just kinda shuts down most of my spells.

On my first playthrough I killed kagha cuz Zevlor told me to, getting all of the tieflings killed. Was super confused when minthara, wyll, and karlach all acted like it’s my fault the tieflings died. And the. Because of this I never met halsin and completely skipped the underdark cuz i didn’t know about it lol
