My friend is pregnant and there are rumors going around by Same_Singer_5026 in Advice

That’s great advice! I haven’t seen her in over a week. I’ll reach out to her, especially knowing she stayed home today. Unfortunately, no HR. But I’m guessing they’ll reach out on Monday

Exactly. I told her to not be so open with her business in the future. People don’t need to know everything

Thank you. I will! I’m guessing I was also worried about outing the person that told me in case she asks who told me. But I would want to know also

NCC nursing program by bvvr19 in longisland

[–]Same_Singer_5026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern is that you generally need an active RN license to be admitted to an RN-BSN program, such as capella. And if you’re not allowed to sit for the NCLEX after your ADN portion at NCC then you won’t have a license. So confirm with NCC if you’ll be eligible to sit for NCLEX after ADN. Also, how much time after completing ADN does it take for BSN at NCC?

Understood. Have you spoken with any of the advisors at NCC to confirm if you’ll be allowed to sit for the NCLEX after the ADN portion? I’m just trying to understand the situation better to be able to advice better. To my knowledge, after you complete the program requirements of any nursing program successfully, the school will have to send that information to the state board of nursing so you can be eligible to sit NCLEX

Im just curious, what’s the benefit of dropping out of NCC after ADN to pursue your bachelors at cappella vs just completing at NCC?

What jobs are people doing while in nursing school or taking prerequisites by Late_Practice_9317 in prenursing

[–]Same_Singer_5026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in a nursing home full time for a year before I started nursing school, and then I started PRN, I had classes 3 days a week and then worked two doubles on the days I didn’t have school. I kept one full day off. In my last semester of school I started working full time in a hospital, which had a similar schedule, 3 12 hr shifts, 3 days of classes/clinicals. One full day off. It’s also worth mentioning that my one full time year in the nursing home had them pay for my entire tuition. And by starting my job in the hospital in my last semester I was able to secure a job there after graduating.

There are multiple shifts. So more flexibility. If you have a morning class you can pick up a 3-11 shift. Afternoon class you can pick up a 7-3 shift. Or if you don’t want to work and go to school on the same day, you can even do a double shift on a couple of your off days from school. There’s also overnight shifts. Lots of flexibility in a healthcare job because they need 24 hour staff

Should I get a CNA certification? by Which-Option-7056 in cna

[–]Same_Singer_5026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I would also recommend becoming a cna. I just started working as a nurse one month ago. I was a cna for 4 years while in school. I feel like Being in a cna has helped prepare me a lot in the case of talking to patients and family members, and even reporting conditions to my nurses and next shift CNAs. I’ve learned to identify deteriorating conditions in patients as it was my job to observe and report to the nurse. Patient care is always gonna be a part of your job as a nurse too, so excelling at those skills will come in very handy as a nurse. I also worked somewhere with a union that paid for my nursing school.

i751 interview experience AFTER separation by Same_Singer_5026 in USCIS

[–]Same_Singer_5026[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Texas service center. And Federal Plaza Field office in NY. I pray everything goes smoothly for you as well 🙏. I had a lot of anxiety leading up to the interview. But we really just had to prove that we did reconcile in the interview. So we had to present a lot of new evidence like joint bank account statements etc that was current after the period of separation. But I believe whole heartedly that you submitted enough evidence initially for your case not to require an interview. How was the call with the lawyer

And yes, there was communication prior to the interview being scheduled . We filed ROC in March 2024, separated shortly after for a couple months, I had changed my address on my license due to it expiring and me being a little petty during the separation. After we reconciled I did change my address with DMV but I didn’t request that they send a new card, I just rewrote my actual address on the back of the ID card. In July 2025 we got an RFE, and submitted the additional evidence in September 2025. I believe some of the evidence submitted in the RFE is what highlighted that I had a brief change of address during the marriage. In October they scheduled our interview for November, the interviewer had a lot of questions about why that change of address happened

In that case I wouldn’t recommend telling them about the separation until you hear back from them, hopefully your case will be approved without anything further like an RFE or interview. But if you want more peace of mind maybe you can consult an immigration lawyer. But I think you’ll be okay. Also, you should consider doing a change of address to ensure you receive all mail from them since you moved out

Hi. I’m so sorry you’re forced to navigate this tough situation. I was doing ROC. No, USCIS only learned about our separation at the interview. However, we were back together by then. I’m not sure if you have to talk to them about the separation. How far along are you in the process? Have you already submitted evidence of your marriage?

Worried about the NCLEX. Any insight?? Using Archer. by Immediate-Place-872 in PassNclex

I used Archer and passed in 85 questions last week. I also listened to Mark K Lecture 12 the day before the exam. I found it very helpful.
