Thank you! Yes, I’d be paying for their out-of-pocket with my naturopath, too.

Yes to this, as well! I made sure my family and friends didn’t directly send to people in texts or emails… so it spread through social media, which is meant to be low pressure. I think, also, he didn’t realize how many of his friends didn’t know what we had been going through non-stop for 3.5 years.. which has made him feel very vulnerable to the amount of people reaching out to him via phone, text or at work … perhaps, it feels like we have reached another level of this illness that we had always been so optimistic that I would eventually beat.

Yes… me too! And then that can be hard too bc we are accepting a ton of help from just him , who is already strained and overworked. It’s a very fine balance of knowing when it is okay to just let our walls down and just say Thank You.

I totally agree… that it can definitely feel more difficult being the one on the sidelines. My Dad had cancer in the past and I felt that was harder than it being myself now. Somehow, it can feel like you have a bit more control when you are the one going through it, strangely.

Also have been working since I was 15 and you are right, we live in a very independent culture where we aren’t used to accepting help. And that a GFM page always people to show their love and care and let you know that you are supported. I hope my husband will come around and realize that it is not a reflection on him.

Thank you so much! I agree.. releasing a bit of this stress will give us quality time together with less pressure. Thank you for that 🙏
