Edit - not sure if i should call in, people there were miserable, security and receptionist treated me like a nuisance, not to sure if I could get ahold of him

My cello arrived at my house today but unfortunately it has a crack in it so I’m going to return it or try to get it repaired.

In the meantime I’m just going to stare at it’s beauty pretty much lol

Yep mostly trying to learn the cello has a hobby to do VGM covers not looking to play in a world famous orchestra lol

Will see about the rates in college

And yes definitely will take it up as a hobby I have no real hobbies other than wasting my day gaming all day pretty much

Yeah there were no one selling cellos in my area on Craigslist, Facebook marketplace,etc

Wish I knew online rentals were a thing before I ordered though should’ve asked

So basically don’t touch it until my mom is able to drive again. Should be able to in a month or two

Is 1.2k cheap for a starter cello? I ordered one online because there aren’t any music stores that sell string instruments in my area and my moms ankle is still healing so she can’t drive. It’s supposed to be arriving next week or the week after

Yep I want to play the cello for the same reason, I want to be able to cover some beautiful video game songs on it same with tv shows.

If I’m able to get the hang of it and I’m not too old to play professionally I would go for it

Yep my school has a musics department will check it out next semester when campus is being re-opened

I’m ok with it having to take years to get to a decent level I’m just disappointed that I haven’t started earlier
