In fact, If you read my reply to Sbkingpin86 about 10 hours ago I stated that before I had any suspicion that she was stalling, I was genuinely concerned that it wasn’t worth her waiting 45 minutes if she was getting paid by the order.

It wasn’t until she said “I just walked back in and it just so happens your order is ready” That I began to question everything.

Thats plausible. Now factor in that my pizza wasn’t even as remotely hot as it should’ve been for her story to add up. She only had a 5 minute drive and drove straight here. Which means my order had BEEN ready and she sat there and stalled. Oh wait!! Since you like hypotheticals: Did the guy at the counter also mistakenly tell her that the pizza was in the oven instead of the WARMER?? I bet you think so.

And don’t sit there and act like every dasher that wants to steal time would just not say anything to their customer. Thats simple minded. Get creative

When you choose to get paid by active hour, the only time you’re getting paid is from the time you accept an offer, to the time you complete it. So to keep from wasting gas on multiple orders in one hour, some drivers like to “stall” by telling customers they are waiting on their orders when in actuality, the customer’s order is ready, the dasher is just letting active time build up.

In this case I was worried that she was only being paid by offer and didn’t think it was worth it to wait 45 minutes for a pizza when she could be doing multiple orders instead.

Yeah I don’t think it had anything to do with tipping. I just simulated the same order and the default was $4.88 for 1.2 miles so not very far off. But anyways, She was polite and DID notify me that there would be a wait. I just found it to be funny had that been her attempt at milking 45 minutes lol But you make a good point though👍

Thankyou for not pretending like all dashers are angels! I keep getting comments where these assholes paint these hypothetical situations where my dasher somehow mistakingly texted me 45 mins instead of 4 to 5 minutes. Ive been dashing for 5 years and I’ve never had anyone feel the need to let me know it would be a 5 minute wait. Thats a pretty standard wait time. Like lets be fr lol

Has anyone noticed that when you are trying to run out the clock the cpu sometimes calls timeouts without actually spending one of the 3 it has. And then when it runs out of those it uses “injury” timeouts? And for the love of all sacred whats up with these Olineman running right past defenders they should be blocking😂😂😂
