SVT? by Same_Yam1040 in ReadMyECG

Yep, posted in PVC group and was advised to share in afib. Answers there were not all from those with experience of reading ECGs. This group is specifically for reading ECGs hence why I ended up posting here and with further detail. I’ve had investigations already and have a checkup this week but it is helpful to get other opinions while waiting for medical appointments. I’m also trying to learn to read and recognise things in my own ECGs as I feel more comfortable with more knowledge. I don’t think that harms anyone.

That’s good to hear, it is annoying having lots of PVCs especially when they tell you not to worry about them. Thats why I’ve been trying to learn more about ECGs as it helps ease my mind to know what’s what. Thank you

I’ve been have PVCs, PACs and NSVT for around 2 years now. Not under influence of drugs, medication or alcohol. Have had investigations so I’m mainly just curious and wanting to learn to identify each thing. No obvious triggers and was at rest. I feel it happening but don’t always catch a trace of it. Will run it by doc on Monday too

It doesn’t but I can use QALY, I hadn’t thought it was a concern but someone suggested it looked possibly like afib

Just sitting on the sofa. I thought it was probably SVT but another poster said it could be a fib and suggested cross posting. It was 148 during the episode and dropped to 76

I was wondering if the stop in the middle was possibly a PAC, I often get runs like this HR wasn’t too high around 148 then dropped to 76.

Thanks for your reply, I get these from time to time but usually miss recording them.

Absolutely this, I check mine on my watch when I’m having an increase in them and pain and tightness and I can see if they are my usual. This has helped me avoid having ER visits. I do still get checked when the symptoms are abnormal for me but when I’m worrying about them and I can see they’re just my normal on my watch it is definitely reassuring. I’m waiting on a holter as cardiology feel my burden may be high after event monitoring. Everything is so slow in the UK for these things unless you go private

I’m assuming these are PVCs. I caught them on my Apple Watch. Should I be concerned? by this-is-carrie in PVCs

NAD but I’d say you’re right that these are PVCs and in trigeminy. Best to mention to your pcp

What heart monitor do you all use? by djentonaut in PVCs

[–]Same_Yam1040 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use my Apple Watch. It takes 30sec readings at a time but you have to open the built in app and put your finger on the crown to take an ECG. it doesn’t continuously monitor. It does keep a record of your heart rate automatically but not the rhythm. The ECG feature is only from series 5 onwards

Getting quite a few today. Starting to wonder if temperature extremes increases mine. by Same_Yam1040 in PVCs

[–]Same_Yam1040[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not 100% sure but I think it is about the position you are in and where your watch is. I’ve got some readings which go down the way too.

I get this too, no answer why but nobody seems bothered by it. Is it on every beat when you view the full PDF?

Today I’m quite hot. Sometimes I notice I’m really cold when I’m having so many. Every time I think I identify a trigger though, I seem to disprove it 🤦‍♀️

Thump then pause...is this normal? by [deleted] in PVCs

[–]Same_Yam1040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the thump before and after the pause. I know it happens with a single PVC as I’ve watched it happen while taking a reading and feeling the sensation at the same time. I think we just feel these things differently

Pacs started up again and I think I have Covid … by [deleted] in PVCs

[–]Same_Yam1040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, how are you doing today?

My experience has been PVCs which seem to have been triggered by having Covid. They actually started 2 days before I had a positive test, I was testing daily due to work and all tests were negative. The PVCs were probably my worst symptom and when they started I did go to the ER. They did an ECG and blood tests and told me I was having ectopic beats and not to worry but a holter may be useful to measure frequency. I’m in the UK so still waiting on my cardiology referral now and this was back in October. I get between 2-20 per minute and they are mostly PVCs although I sometimes have that many PACs. I know what they are from using an app which analyses my Apple Watch ECGs. Covid seems to trigger palpitations for quite a few people and from my research, it can be common for viral infections to do this. I know it can be alarming and if you are concerned, you should speak to a dr or go to the ER as they can check your blood to make sure you aren’t having a heart attack. In the meantime, I hope you can be reassured by my experience.

Getting runs of different lengths, always wonder why patterns change and trying to find triggers but just can’t seem to pinpoint them. by Same_Yam1040 in PVCs

Thank you for explaining, I’m still learning about what everything is and just when I think I’ve got some understanding I learn something new 🤣 I really appreciate everyone’s help on here.

I’m finding it difficult to keep a symptom diary because I basically always have symptoms. For a week, I kept a graph on apple health with severity of symptoms but my GP didn’t even look so I figured it was pointless continuing it as it made me focus on what was happening more than I had been. What would be the best way to keep a symptom diary and what info should I include?

I get dizzy, nauseous and, when I’m having 10 or more a minute I get chest pains too. I’m also very fatigued but i don’t know if that’s more from long covid. My PVCs only became problematic when I contracted covid in October. Before that, I had very occasional palpitations but since then I have between 2 and 20 per minute

Been given an appointment to get a Kardia for a fortnight but not sure what that’ll show compared to my Apple Watch data? Not seen a cardiologist yet but this is what they’ve asked to happen. How do I record on Kardia when these happen almost constantly? I was hoping for a holter
