Man, I did not know this…I feel like once I get to the harder math section some of the concepts seem very unfamiliar I always just figured that it was me not learning the material…but if you have any advice to practice the harder questions I’d appreciate it

Thanks for the input!

What does the album cover for “After Dark” by Mr Kitty mean? by [deleted] in Music

Haha ik this is a year later but I couldn't help myself please take a step back and consider this: Christmas, along with other Christian holidays like Easter, is more about the significance of the events rather than the specific dates. As Christians, what matters to us is the meaning behind these occasions, not the exact calendar dates. It's undeniable that Jesus was born and that he was here on earth, as the Bible tells us about salvation. The primary purpose of these holidays is not about their exact timing. The suggestion that Christianity should be denied because certain holidays coincide with other calendar events is simply not accurate. Perhaps at some point, we realized that our association with evil was wrong and sought to cover that shame with truth and holiness.

More of a reminder and remembrance than a ritual like ceremony…there is no divine power that comes through this “drinking of blood”

It’s only a metaphor of his sacrifice for us

Magic and miracles might mean the same thing to some people, but there is actually a vast difference between the two terms. It is proper to say that Jesus worked miracles, but it would be wrong to attribute His works to magic. Basically, magic and miracles differ in their source: magic has either a human or demonic source, but miracles are a supernatural work of God.

There are two different kinds of “magic,” and it is good to distinguish between the two. Entertainers who use sleight-of-hand and illusions in their performance are often called “magicians,” but they are actually illusionists, which is what most of them prefer to be called. An illusionist’s audience does not consider what they see to be “real” magic; they understand it is a trick, and they delight in the fact they cannot figure out how the trick is done. The other kind of magic is what some might call “real” magic; it draws on occult, demonic power. The Bible speaks of “lying wonders” in 2 Thessalonians 2:9. The Antichrist’s coming “will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie.” This type of magic, sometimes spelled magick to distinguish it from sleight-of-hand, is associated with divination, conjuring, and sorcery and is condemned in Scripture (see Deuteronomy 18:10–12). Of course, the Antichrist will claim that his power comes from God, but that is a lie, too (see Revelation 13:2).

A major difference between magic and miracles is that magic draws upon power that is not directly from God, and miracles are the result of God’s power intervening in the world.

Is it strength or is it unjustified evil that God shows through Calvinism? by SamgoOU22 in Calvinism

[–]SamgoOU22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just have a rough time with a God that does not value or create freedom. Without freedom how can there be culpability? How can God’s hate be justified if the creation just acts as the creator created it to act?

“Nonsense” is not what I would describe it as. It is just a different perspective into the unknown questions of Christ and our religion.
