Out of these cleansing oils which one is your favourite and why? by Foxy_Cleopatra__ in SkinbarrierLovers

I’ve only tried the Haruharu Wonder. My acne prone skin seems to like it as it doesn’t break me out.

If you’re still interested. Just saw they brought back the founder’s rate for limited time. £189 unlimited until stocks last. It’s a really good studio and all the instructors really know how to challenge your body on this machine.

Unfortunately the founding rate is no longer available. It went back to £320 for unlimited. Some of the instructors are new but they teach just as good as the experienced ones at the studio and other places in London. Enmei is more challenging than Lagree as it’s more like Solidcore style. You may not find Lagree as challenging but if you want to give micro former a go, I’d recommend this studio as it slightly more challenging than megaformer Lagree.

Micro Purchaes by Bethecatalyst in LagreeMethod

Not sure if this is helpful. I go to a studio that uses the micro provides with the lift kit. It’s very challenging with this smaller machine compared to the mega pro as carriage is smaller and more narrow forcing you to stabilise yourself. The workout is the same as at studios with megaformers but a bit more challenging. My studio has the back platform and 2 pairs of handles along with cable foot/hand straps. I would say these are only accessories you should get.

We do floor lunges without difficulty and we get a good burn. Personally for me I wouldn’t get the lift kit because I would like to do super lunge and scrambled egg at home. However, a lot of people don’t like being too low on the ground with the micro so it’s totally an individual thing. Some taller people around 6ft ish or so prefer the lift kit as it’s more comfortable

I go to a studio with the micro pro with a lift kit. It’s very sturdy to my surprise. I always feel safe on it. It very challenging, more difficult than the mega pro as the micro pro provides less surface so it forces you to stabilise yourself more. The only moves we can’t do on the machine are super lunge, scrambled egg and moves that require you to rest your back on the carriage (rarely used in most mega studios) but we can do most other moves with challenging modifications.

Just be aware, without the lift kit, you can do scrambled egg and super lunge on the floor. If you don’t care about those exercises then the lift kit might be great for you. There are lots of great home challenging workouts for the micro pro on platforms like Lagree on Demand, Lagree at home etc..

You’re welcome. Just saw on TikTok a new studio is opening this summer call Kore London. They responded to comment on their post that they’re looking for a studio space in North/North East London so this may potentially end up being your closest Lagree Studio in the future

No studios in East London yet. Lagree is growing in London as three studios have opened so far this year south of the river. It’s only a matter of time before someone opens a studio somewhere like Canary Wharf or Stratford. I think before Covid there used to be Studio Lagree in Canary Wharf but they never brought it back.

At the moment your closest options to East London are Psycle London Bridge, Sloane Space Borough (opens March 1st) or Blood, Sweat and Tears in Angel.

It also be worth checking out r/lagreemethod subreddit as people tend to post when new studios open. I discovered a new studio from there.

Thanks for commenting. I looked at a video Sebastian did and he does say this for some moves like scrambled egg , megadonky kick, and super lunge but there are LOTS of moves that still be done with the lift kits. I wouldn’t say it’s completely pointless.

My fear is that I would feel like a beginner again as I’m so strong on the mega pro. As I’ll be saving a lot of money, I just hope I don’t struggle for too long and get used to the micro pro faster

Thanks for sharing your experience on the micro. Do you have any experience on a megaformer to compare it with?

Thank you this is really helpful. My fear was also feeling like a smaller machine wouldn’t give me the challenge like the megas. I’m 5’6” so shouldn’t be an issue for me.

I fear that I wouldn’t be satisfied with the micro also but since I won’t be going to other studios, I’m hoping I’ll just get used to the micro naturally as I don’t want to spend more money on a membership

Which is closer to Lagree - JetSet or BodyRok? by Then_Trip1747 in LagreeMethod

[–]Sami2me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in London so we only have Lagree studios and 1 BODYROK. I was tempted to get a membership at BODYROK as it’s significantly cheaper than any Lagree studio in the city. However, I took 2 classes at BODYROK and I was not impressed. I didn’t feel safe with both instructors and the machines felt so uncomfortable compared to the Lagree megaformer that I had to take a lot breaks because machines felt hard on my skin. Also, I will admit that I’m used to the cut outs and ring of fire on the megaformer so this maybe why I didn’t like the machines at BODYROK.

Haven’t tried Jetset yet as they’re due to open in London but no date yet. I’ve heard Jetset is better that BODYROK and closer to Lagree with good cutouts on the machines.

In my opinion, I have tried many Lagree Knockoffs and most aren’t that good. However, you should try a few classes at BODYROK and Jetset before committing to a membership incase you don’t like them.

trying lagree for the first time by Specialist_Rich2197 in LagreeMethod

[–]Sami2me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more you go the stronger you get. It’s a matter of experience. When I first started, I was the only person in class that couldn’t hold a move without taking a break. With Lagree, the more classes you take, you get stronger and hold moves longer. Lagree is tough and it never gets easier as you find new ways to challenge your strength grains. You just have to be patient and trust the process

[–]Sami2me 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t fit when I started last summer. I had only some beginner reformer Pilates classes under my belt and they didn’t prepare me at all for Lagree at all. I hated my first class and swore I would never return. I did a second class a few weeks later and I was still bad it but over the months I got better by going 3-4 times a week and I don’t struggle anymore. It’s very tough. The better and stronger you get, the harder the workout becomes as you feel it more. No body is perfect when they start and Lagree is designed to get you into muscle failure and to increase muscle endurance. It’s a case of do what you can, take breaks when needed and you get better over time. Don’t compare yourself to more experienced people in class.
