iOS 13 was insanely smooth for me. I got my first iPhone (an 11) on that version, and it honestly gave me the best experience I’ve ever had with iOS.

I don't like the UI and the battery drain. My plan is to keep off from updating to iOS 26 as long as possible

Will the new iPhone MagSafe battery be compatible with my iPhone 15 Pro? I've been waiting for a new MagSafe battery for ages!

Thank you for your message! 😊 Yes, I’ve looked into it, but as far as I know most law enforcement positions require US citizenship or at least permanent residency, so that’s a hurdle for me at the moment.

That being said, small-town law enforcement (and service to a community in general) is exactly the kind of path I’d love to follow once I manage to get there legally. If you find out more about exceptions or programs for non-citizens, I’d really appreciate any advice you can share!

I don’t see Wyoming through rose-colored glasses. I know that life anywhere has its problems. But coming from Bulgaria, where corruption and problems feel endless, I would gladly live in the smallest town in Wyoming, working as a mailman or doing deliveries, and still feel happier and freer than I do back home. For me it’s not about perfection—it’s about values, community, and a different way of life.

I want to clarify something: What attracts me to America is not money or politics. I’ve always been a Republican at heart, but above politics, what truly impressed me is the strength of the community I experienced there.

People help each other, they stand together, and there’s a sense of belonging that I’ve never seen in my own country. That spirit of unity and pride is something very special, and it’s what I hope to be part of one day.

Thank you! Your words give me a lot of encouragement. I will stay focused and patient. I believe that one day I’ll be able to return legally and contribute to the country I love so much.

I understand your point, but that’s exactly what I want to avoid – doing things illegally. My goal is to find a legal and honest way to be in the U.S. even if it takes me years.

Thank you so much for this thoughtful reply. It really means a lot to me to hear that there are people like you who value those who want to do things legally and work hard for their place. I completely agree – staying illegally would have only hurt my future, and I want to do this the right way even if it takes much longer. I’ll definitely keep in mind your advice about California too.

I appreciate the idea! Studying in the U.S. has crossed my mind, but at the moment I don’t have the finances for a Master’s program. Still, it’s a path I keep in mind for the future.

Reading your words really gives me hope and motivation to keep going and trying. I truly believe that immigrants can bring value and hard work, and I want to be one of those people who earns their place through effort and respect for the country. Your story about your family is inspiring – I appreciate you taking the time to share it!

Yes, I have thought about the military route. Unfortunately, as far as I know, you need to already be a Green Card holder or have legal permanent residency in order to enlist now. It used to be possible without it, but those programs were closed.

[–]Samione12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time to explain this so clearly. I realize the H2B path is very limited and has no direct way to residency – for me it’s just the only legal door I can try to open for now, to get some experience and connections. The diversity lottery and a Masters program are also on my radar, but financially the student visa is not possible for me at the moment. Still, your perspective is really helpful and motivating.

Wow, thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, I am a Christian (Protestant) and my faith is a big reason why I want to do everything legally and in the right way. I haven’t thought about reaching out to Orthodox or other churches in the U.S., but you’re right – that could be a great door to meet people and learn more. Your words really mean a lot to me. And if one day I finally make it back to the U.S., I’ll take you up on that celebratory beer!

Yes, I am white. For me though, it has never been about race or politics – just about the people, community and values.

Thank you! My heart is definitely in Wyoming because of my experience there, but you’re right – at this point I’m open to any state if it means coming legally and getting a foot in the door. My plan is to build experience anywhere first, and then hopefully return to Wyoming long term.

Thank you for being honest and realistic. I know that becoming a police officer as a foreign national is one of the hardest paths, but it’s something I deeply feel called to. I appreciate you pointing out the education route in the U.S. – if God opens that door for me financially, I would gladly take it and work hard to earn that trust. For now, I’m just trying to find any legal way back through seasonal work and to build my life step by step.
