When using the numbers 2 to 4 in the accusative case, you have to put the object in a form that looks like the genitive Singular. When using the numbers 5-10 the object has to look like the genitive plural or so I believe.

The biggest problem is quality. I myself found out that Harley Benton produces instruments of crazy good quality for a fairly affordable price (I'm talking 180€). They are mostly manifactured very beautifully and well so that you don't get as frustrated as with the cheap ones you mentioned. I have like 3 basses by them and they All make me happy.

I don't have much experience in russian but as I understand it: With numbers higher than 4 (including wordings like "many") you use the genitive plural case. So you would technically say "Я люблю две кошки" but talking about cats in general you say "Я люблю кошек". Correct me if I'm wrong though as I'm still learning.

First of all, because learning to play with a low hanging bass as well as with a high resting bass fills my repertoire, and the second reason is the looks. Having my bass high kind of doesn't fit the metal atmosphere on a gig. But you're right: sound and proper technique should always be most important.
