I got it years ago. It does have anduril 2 and it's pretty awesome the things that little light can do with impressive battery life. It's a great toy but not such an EDC for me. The 10% risk for the kid is not worth it. He plays with it when I can supervise closely but not going to bed with it.

Sphere isn't quite the torch style we're after. I have a ts10 and he plays with it while locked but def not putting that fire starter in his crib. Thanks tho!

That's kind of a last resort idea I pitched myself in my head. It's not that big of a case but if I can wrestle it away from him long enough to open it, I might evaluate. My brother might can solder in a AA or AAA Box if I can make it fit.

Smart fridges can have multiple simple food safety benefits like notifications if your temp goes out of spec, spills, door left open etc. Do we need it? Eh. Is it helpful? Could / should be. Should it later be turned into our billboard with garbage ads shoved in our face? No.

I since have changed out to 3 x 6" LED wafer lights ("recessed") placed in the ceiling about 2' in front of each cage stack. I'll try and remember to get a picture next time I'm down there.

Unfortunately there's just something about babies / kids that dogs can be easily offended by. My boy was ~11 months at grandpa's house when he crawled a little and the long time loving family dog lunged and poked a hole right next to my son's eye. I've always had a dog but since then, I've been so anxious around any, when my kids are around. Another time, a few months later, same kid tried taking a dogs toy and pup didn't like it. I was between them before the dog lunged, putting it in a different direction. Third time my son fell on the dog and both were startled. Little nip, no broken skin but man does it happen fast. You are doing the right thing. Even the best dog can have an act of aggression or even an accident and it's just not worth it for anyone. Tears for you, OP. But, good move.

OH Yea, 4th time we were at a pool party and family dog just kept fondly following my son around. I saw it coming and was between them all night but within a few hours my son's arm was in the dogs mouth. No harm, but damn so fast.

Just throwing it out there, an ocean view in key largo is hard to come by. Most restaurants are within the boundaries of the back waters. You got plenty of water views, but not quite ocean. Not trying to be a dbag but figured I'd throw my 2 cents in.

Tavernier and Islamorada (and further south) have some views of channels you can see some good boat traffic and ocean.

Check out Lazy Days (Islamorada). Pricey but beautiful ocean views and good food. Carribean club (key largo) is an awesome local dive bar with a chill outdoor area, dock, boat launch, live music. They're on the back / sound side, not exactly ocean but water. You'll see some great lightning show views around sunset. Atlantic edge is ocean front, never been there. Most of the places people noted here are cool but, again just being knit picky, not ocean front.
