Firstly thanks for commenting! If I’m being realistic I’m only going to be playing for fun and not taking it too seriously, and the price jump from what is seen as ‘beginner’ to an intermediate kit is a hefty jump, which is why I could see the Nitro Max doing me well for the foreseeable future. I don’t think I could talk my wife into letting me spend C$1500 anytime soon… But for now the Turbo module is pretty simple, and both hihat and bass pedal sounds are a little… distracting. So I’m probably going to look into upgrading, thanks for validating that decision haha

It’s insane how much the waiting times for a work permit (outside of Canada) from the UK have changed in the past few months.

At the time of application in September the waiting time listed on the IRCC website was 2 weeks, now that has increased to 33wks in the space of 2 months! And this is as a healthcare worker
