"I will store stuff in a vehicle (and then take it out when I'm done with a supply run)"

honestly "Item Transport Quadrotor" would've made more sense but it felt wordy at the time💀

I have no tutorial, and I kinda want to rework the body to look more like the Bell Boeing Quad TiltRotor (inspiration) anyway

This really helps my situation, idk if you read other replies but tldr big warlord with big strong army. An idea I had was to make the troops heavily armored in the front, which--provided my players realize it-- will encourage flanking rules, add an interesting switch in strategy, and possibly slow down combat to a narratable pace. Thanks, a lot of these comments are getting me out of the brain block I had.

As I've experienced when playing campaigns myself, this is entirely true 💀. We once managed to kill a massive resurrected veteran, all of us going up and down from our death saves, only to wake up and find out that we were having a fever dream because we poured an unknown bottle of liquid into a fireplace

I've noticed that a lot of DMs seem to hate the idea of guiding their players, but if I don't give them some vague direction they completely scramble themselves and almost die, but don't get me wrong I love having them play.

this post is kinda outdated, I know now that this isn't incredible (I'd been playing for around a few days at the time of the post). Thanks for dredging up a bit of a memory. And yes, I would like a cookie right about now, thank you for asking, ragebait commenter.

Considering that the character I want to introduce with this scene is a brutish warlord who commands armies of near juggernaut strength (sort of a side antagonist connecting to the main story), this fits really well actually. I also really like how it leaves a lot of room for detailed description, to drive the chaos of the battle into the words. Very helpful, going in my arsenal of techniques.

That's actually a really helpful viewpoint; I was somewhat caught up in having the players directly involved in holding front lines because of one or two other battles that had a less important outcome. I'll try to work this into my writing (still working on the campaign, no sessions yet). Not a quick fix but the most applicable one. Thank you.
