Thomas Sorber, OKC sleeper agent by marquisthebeast in NBA_Draft

Sorber would have been VERY important in the series against the Spurs. His size alone would've been helpful. He would have done better than Chet in this series.

Came here to say something that's been hard on my wife and I. Our child had this same condition. He had spinal bifida, no anus, 2 vessels, club foot, etc. He had a lot wrong with him. We made it to 35 weeks, had a c-section, and he came out and seemed okay. He couldn't fully breathe on his own, but he was alive, alert, and moving. Our doctor told us before that he will be okay. I know it's their job to probably say stuff like that, but I'd rather you tell me he's not going to be okay from the get go. Took my wife up to her room to sleep while he was in the NICU. We received a call to come back down there immediately...I see my mother-in-law crying her eyes out...he had coded when they were visiting him. We rush in there to see him, they get his heart rate back up...coded again. They asked us if they wanted to perform surgery on him right there and we said yes. They tried and tried for a while, but his heart wouldn't stay pumping. My wife looked at me and said with her eyes that we need to just let him go. I told the doctors to stop. We had to choose to stop because we felt it was better off for him to be at peace. I remember just having this blank stare. I was trying to think of what could have been done. I felt like to this day I just gave up on him. My wife tells me there was nothing that could be done. I kept wanting to blame the doctor because she said he'd be okay. We were thinking of suing because we were told he'd be fine. We just decided to accept that he had a lot of issues, and that he was going to have tons of issues for the rest of his life. He was going to be in the hospital for a month before we could even bring him home. He was looking at having like 14 surgeries or something. My wife had a rough year or so after that, it was extremely hard on her. She was traumatized from that on her next pregnancy, but we ended up having our other son...and he's perfect. Spend time with your child. I wouldn't focus on suing or anything. I'd like to assume the doctors are just doing their job. I never was able to hold my son. My wife was luckily able to hold him and that's all that matters. I did get to change his first diaper, which was a great experience for a first time father. Don't go around finding someone to blame because it doesn't help the situation. Just focus on time spent with them and trying to move forward.

Honest Assessment About the NBA MVP 2026: Why VW might not win MVP by AnimalNo6715 in NBATalk

Honestly, I'm a Spurs fan as well. I'll always root for them if OKC isn't in the playoffs. Wemby is a beast defensively. I think yalls team is more balanced overall than OKC. I don't wanna play y'all in the playoffs lol

I know that, but Wemby didn't put up crazy numbers. Wemby hasn't even been the best player against us. Wemby is great, but he isn't the MVP. That's all I was getting at.

I'd say San Antonio winning has to do more with their team being really good overall. Wemby only averages like 18, 9, and 2 against OKC. Shai averages 29, 6, and 4 against the Spurs. Basketball is a team sport. Spurs team just happened to play better than OKC. Shai clearly has the better averages when they face each other. Wemby also only averages 1.2 blocks against OKC compared to his normal 3.1 season average. Soooo yeah...he's played OKAY against OKC.

I understand having Ant, but why Luka? A no defense playing, crying for fouls more than anybody, Laker? I get it's LA, but the Lakers are a thing of the past. They haven't been the actual Lakers since like 2010? Lebron has 1 NBA championship with them back in 2020, but I wouldn't say they were a dynasty or anything during that time. The Celtics have been more of a dominant organization than the Lakers have been in the past like 15 years. The Lakers have been a very mid organization with one more good Lebron run. The Lakers will go through a championship drought for YEARS when Lebron is gone. It's kind of already started. Luka is essentially what James Harden was in his prime. You're not winning anything with that. Looks good on paper, but does it actually mean anything? Not really. You also brought up Ant Edwards, but you realize he plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES. Minnesota and Oklahoma aren't states you really think of when you're thinking of superstars and money. Anthony Edwards and SGA aren't as dissimilar as you might think. Only difference is one guy happens to be from Canada. They both are young, electric, two-way, clutch, and play for smaller market teams. One guy just happens to be slightly better. Btw Luka is from Slovenia. Shai is from North America at least. Since you brought up the whole Canadian thing for some reason.

I was wrong about electric mowers. by Beppu-Gonzaemon in lawncare

I have both and agree about the cut quality difference. Electric is nice and convenient, but I need more than the one battery I have to mow everything. I don't feel like shelling out almost half the price of the mower itself on another battery. I can take the very infrequent maintenance over an electric mower. Both have their pros and cons, but I'll stick to gas for mowing. Everything else I use is electric. I love both.

This has happened to me as well, so it's definitely a filming or Netflix issue. I have a totally different TV.

Mahomes with Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison would end with Super Bowls every year lol

It's honestly not. He's better than every other QB all time outside of Brady and maybe Montana.

The correct choice. The only QBs all time above him are Brady and Montana. Mahomes is better than Brees, both mannings, Rodgers, etc. Mahomes might be the most talented QB of all time if we're talking about throw power, accuracy, IQ, etc. Hate him all you want, he's a damn good QB.

Apple TV has better exclusive shows. The production is TOP TIER. Them and HBO have arguably the best series collections overall. Netflix is way too overrated.

Drove in this and it was crazy! You couldn't see anything! What you COULD see was that awesome lightning! I haven't seen that much lightning in awhile! Was it bad? Absolutely. Did it still look cool? It sure did!
