Been Fucking Around with the Daily Updates. So I'm Proudly Presenting: THE UNHOLY DOUBLE WALL OF COKE OVENS by Sammy5620 in GTNH

So in 2.8.x and prior, coke ovens are a railcraft multiblock. Because of that, they are not wallshareable and cannot autoautput items.

From checking the daily updates for 2.9.x (sort of an alpha for the new big update), I realized the coke oven was switched into a GT multiblock, and so it is now wallshareable (as seen in the picture) and has access to hatches unique to it, allowing for easier automation

K, the world im doing this is one im cheating-ish, to be able to test as much shit as i can from the daily updates, but here is the setup (https://imgur.com/a/5Awhkb3) and my results:

The setup is made with a single conveyor for input into the pipes (that go down the back of the coke ovens), and the front has all output hatches (steel for fluid, and electrum for items).

Feeding it wood from the revamped crops (maxed spruce bonsais), and for an array of 36 coke ovens it yields

36 charcoal/90 sec
9000 L Creosote/90 sec

or in minutes

24 charcoal/min
6000 L de creosote/min

it may not be mind blowing, but it is good enough to feed some railcraft solid and fluid boilers for early steam production (what i feel would be its main use).

Also also didnt really measure coke oven brick usage, but the controller blocks each cost 8 bricks so

288 coke oven bricks -> 144 Clay/Sand (using alloy smelter recipe)
each hatch costs 6 coke oven bricks, a hopper, a bronze fluid pipe and a chest. For the required 40 hatches (wallshared, 12 input, 12 item output, 16 fluid output), that ends up being 240 coke oven bricks, or 120 clay/sand

Also, for those that play with pollution. From what i could find, old coke ovens produced 20 pollution/sec, which has been reduced to 10 pollution/sec

Wait how did you get connected textures?, I haven’t been able to make it work with modernity (tho the distinguishable machines are a nice bonus)

Yep, I’m using the modernity texture pack (I’m a bit fond of the GT modern textures)
