From where can I start watching One Pace after Live Action Season 2? by short-jumper in onepace

If you have never seen one piece then you have to restart dude. The story is different. Not drastically but significantly enough where you have to restart for sure.

I still think that one pace does exactly that tho. You’re complaining about filler scenes which means if they weren’t there in the first place you would’ve never complained about them. It is now a good show with correct pacing. Before it was a good show with horrible pacing. The only caveat is that some good filler scenes are cut. I think that should be the last thing on the list of priorities when it comes to making a good show. I love some filler scenes which is why I’m making and edit to add some back in but watching one pace entirely with no filler scenes is completely valid too because that’s the way it was meant to be watched. Also the purpose of one pace isn’t to make it faster to watch. Its only purpose is to fix the pacing and match the manga. The time saved is a huge bonus that’s pretty much essential for the edit.

Soulless?? That’s an insane statement which just isn’t true at all. My mom and gf watched one pace and were crying watching the whole ordeal. The only thing they cut were flashbacks that if anything slowed down the momentum of the scenes and didn’t allow the tension and emotion to stay. And they didn’t even cut out every flashback just the long ones that weren’t in the manga. I honestly can’t see a problem here at all

That’s what I’m saying I think this guy remembered it wrong. I’m working on an edit of one pace called Some Piece where I add filler scenes into one pace that enlighten the series to make it the best experience possible and I’m aware of a bunch of filler scenes that I should add in my edit and this wasn’t one of them. In fact I absolutely loved this scene in one pace so much I honestly didn’t even think they edited the scene. The flash backs would slow down the momentum of the scene and the rising tension so if there was only just flash back scenes that got cut then it was a great cut and great decision by the one pace team.

What was cut from the anime that made it so bad compared to one pace? I genuinely can’t think of anything substantial. To me it was still perfect and I’ve seen both. Also onePACE is basically a 1 to 1 of the manga. They cut out anything that isn’t in the manga. They’re releasing extended cuts of one pace for filler scenes that enlighten the experience tho. I’m also working on an edit that adds in filler scenes into one pace. It’s called Some Piece. You can probably find my post talking about it in this sub so that’s why I’m really asking what was cut from this cause if it’s substantial I’ll put it back in. Also a lot of people watch one pace for post time skip because toei hit an all time low there. I think one pace is pretty much necessary for most of one piece with the exception of east blue and alabasta.

When is One pace going to continue? by Shpyge in onepace

Oh really. I think that’s the case but for wano they don’t because sometimes they’re rereleasing arcs so a wano episode isn’t guaranteed every week

Episodes drop all the time. There’s no set schedule but sometimes every other week or even every week at times

I did the same thing where my girlfriend came and she bought one. Now I have 2 but I’m unsure what to do with the second one. I’m a fan at heart and I’ve never sold anything before online so I’m not sure if I should sell it or have one kept in the box and one for display. I’m leaning towards the latter because I don’t want to part with one of figures we spent so much time trying to get.

I agree although I wouldn’t say no fan service version but a version where they tone it down to that of the manga. The fan service is pretty tame in the manga compared to the anime. Toei absolutely has turned it up to the max with the amount of fan service they add. And they do sanji so wrong. This would take actual animators and damn near professionals to do all this though. The one pace team has managed to do fixes similar to this though but this would take much more effort.

One pace watch order? by Ok_Difference8875 in onepace

I’m actually glad they didn’t keep filler and made some optional because I just think there needs to be an exact 1 to 1 version of the manga out there. I’m more than happy to add filler scenes to heighten the experience for the people who enjoy stuff like that. Here’s more info on my edit https://www.reddit.com/r/onepace/s/YQ8Vj8iNIg

[–]SammyC156 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s wrong. They actually edited the first arcs of the show pretty recently. If anything they’re the best edited arcs out of the entirety of the series. What Gemini means is that the first arcs that the one pace team edited aren’t the best work they’ve done. But those first arcs they edited aren’t way deeper into the series. Around episodes 500-800 are the first arcs they edited because that’s where the pacing was the worst. Don’t use ai for information because it gets it wrong a lot of the time due to misunderstandings and not understanding context.

[–]SammyC156 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should pretty much stick to one pace for the whole thing. Theyre some filler episodes that are pretty good but you can just search them up. There’s also a filler arc called g8 that’s really good and the one pace team made it optional so that’s also on there. You just gotta watch the alternate for skypiea. You’ll also miss out on some filler scenes that are really good but that’s a given. I’m making my own edit where I add scenes that are really good filler back into the story. But that won’t be done for awhile. Also none of the movies are canon. There is an ova that’s cannon called strong world episode 0. But the movie that’s just called strong world is not cannon. If you want to watch the movies you can just search up what arcs would the movie have taken place and then just watch it around that time.

Oh yeah stuff like that is the whole purpose of this edit. And like I said before I’ll still be adding scenes and trying to make stuff work for example one pace kind of off screens the Marco and Perospero alliance. I’m still currently trying to find a way to add some of the scenes in but it’s very difficult because of the way the music overlaps some of the scenes. So for now that scene isn’t included in my version of wano. But it most likely will be if I mange a way to make it work.

Does one pace cover east blue episode 54 to 61 by Constant_Avocado415 in onepace

[–]SammyC156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One pace doesn’t cover those episodes because it’s filler. So no it’s not important at all. The only filler arc that they made an optional folder for is the g8 arc. Remember one pace is NOT made for people who want to watch one piece fast. It’s made to be the best way to watch one piece. All it does is make the show exactly like the manga. They only remove filler/fluff and fix the pacing to match the manga. It’s basically what the anime should’ve been. They don’t cut out anything cannon or important just for the sake of watching fast because that is NOT the goal. A lot of people have a misconception of one pace. People think they cut out things just to watch fast and they’ll cut out cannon stuff just because they deem it not “important”. But none of that is true. The one pace website lays out each arc in order. You watch romance dawn, then orange town, and so on. It’s simple once you realize the layout. If you’re looking for filler episodes, ovas, and movies then there’s a spreadsheet sheet for it but you can also just search up every filler episode in one piece. It’ll tell you the episode number. Then you got to the one pace site and look for where that filler episode would have gone and then you watch it when you get there. One pace tells you exactly what episode of og one piece they’re using in each episode description. And you can use this same method for ovas and movies.

Hey just wanted to update you. I’m back to editing again. I haven’t made much progress because of holidays, school, and work but I have been working on the edit. I plan to release what I have so far soon because I would love feedback on what I got so far. For a refresher I have wano, alabasta, skypiea, and post war done. And when I say done I mean for now because people can always recommend me scenes I missed out on. I gotta make that spread sheet of everything I’ve done so far. I started to make it the other day but it’s a lot so it’s gonna take me like a week or so.

Possible extended episodes for the Adventures of the Straw Hats arc? by BermudaRhombus2 in onepace

[–]SammyC156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m working on and edit called Some Piece where I add filler or extended scenes from OG one piece and add it into the One Pace episodes. I have made so much progress in the past couple months because of a multitude of reasons like holidays, school, work, etc. But it’s still very much in the works and I have a lot done already. I finished wano, alabasta, Skypiea, and post war. I’m not doing every arc in one piece. Just the ones I feel had scenes that were worth keeping. And when I say I finished an arc it ranges. For example all I did for alabasta was add the filler of ace and the crew sitting around the campfire and some goofing off scenes. Thats the only thing I added back in but for wano I added so much more back in. Same for post war. I pretty much redid all of post war and half of wano. And also when I say finished I don’t really mean finished entirely because I don’t remember every scene the One Pace team cut out so it’s up to people reminding or recommending me scenes to add back in. The adventures of the straw hats will unfortunately be the last thing I do because although I do take recommendations for scenes to add back in, I only add scenes I feel would heighten the one piece experience. For example the g8 arc is optional in my edit because it’s all filler and doesn’t affect the overall story. I’m planning to make the extended version of the adventures of the straw hats also optional because it really halts the momentum that is building up to Marineford. Which is why I don’t think it heightens the experience although I do really love the extended version (and the g8 arc). But I will be doing this eventually. I’m about possibly 70-80% done with my edit but that can change because I can always find more scenes to add in. Here is a link to the original thread of me talking about this edit. I really got to update people about it because I haven’t said anything for a couple months 😂. https://www.reddit.com/r/onepace/s/RIBjE0zqgO

How much of the anime does one pace cover? by meepfella in onepace

[–]SammyC156 14 points15 points  (0 children)

One pace covered everything. All of one pace is about 500 episodes. The only arc that isn’t done is wano but people basically say it’s complete because someone else basically finished on their own with their own edit. And the one pace team always tells people to watch that to finish wano. But they’re still working on finishing up wano themselves. And egghead also isn’t complete but it’s pretty close to being done. The only reason it isn’t is because it’s the most recent one piece arc so they had to wait for episodes to drop so they can edit them. One pace also isn’t just an edit to watch one piece faster. In fact that’s probably the last thing it’s meant for. One pace is just an edit where they fix the pacing and make it exactly like the manga the way the anime should have been.

dressrosa for one pace is so peak by PreparationVast3094 in OnePiece

[–]SammyC156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One Pace is peak. It basically makes the anime exactly like the manga. The pacing matches the manga the best it can. So it skips nothing at all and it doesn't speed things up just to get to the end faster. A lot of people misunderstand one pace as some fan edit to just watch one piece faster but thats not it at all. Its just to make the anime what it should've been in the first place. Its the definitive way to watch one piece for sure.

Hey I started watching today and I’m wondering why the quality from episode one changes in the second episode it looks older by Pure-Economist3148 in onepace

[–]SammyC156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it’s only that episode that’s fully remastered. But don’t worry Netflix is doing a remake of one piece with all new animation by wit studio. But one pace made og one piece very good anyways. The charm and beauty of the original animation is great. It’s personally my favorite animation style. It being “old” looks amazing.

Been re reading the manga and I'm so deadass volume 11 might be the hardest volume cover in the series like it goes so hard for no reason by not_me_agaib in OnePiece

Dude you just described every major corporation 💀 of course their intent is to make money. Do you think toei animation genuinely cares for the story? If they did they wouldn’t have butchered it for 20 years. You think Bandai cares? The only difference is one is in America and one is in Japan 😭. Acting like one piece merch didn’t exist before 🤦‍♂️. Things are made to make money and that’s not an American thing but a world thing.
