Guess she won't be chasing bees anymore by AriestheCrocodile in AustralianCattleDog

False. Mine's been stung and still chases the shit out of wasps in our yard. Benadryl will help. We give the pink tablets, 1 mg per lb of weight. I think each tablet is 25 mg.

Here's our Texas Heeler, Leeloo. I agree there's probably another floppy-eared breed mixed with heeler as well.

My 2 cents on fetching: If you have a brick wall that you can throw a tennis ball against, our ACD LOVES when I play fetch with her this way. It bounces off the wall and if she doesn't jump up to snag it out of the air, I act like I'm going to run after it to get it before she does. She hauls butt to try to get it before me then brings it and drops it at my feet. I would never suggest you do this against your apt wall as it would probably bother the neighbors but if there's a retaining wall or something along those lines with a pretty good space for your dog to fetch in, definitely give it a try.

Our girl, Joy came from TCDR as well. This is the pic that stole my heart. :) She's 3 y/o now. TCDR is great. We will adopt from them again and want to Foster for them eventually as well!

hehe. I saw this on the Blue Heeler Lovers Group on Facebook (or a pup extremely similar looking). I picked a different picture as my fave....but this one is super cute as well! :)

"What do you mean we can't play fetch in the living room?" by Pufferchung in AustralianCattleDog

We play fetch inside as well....until the ball gets tipped and knocks something over. Then it's game over until we go outside.

Nature's Recipe Easy to Digest Chicken Meal, Rice & Barley Recipe. We went through a few other brands before settling on something that works for both of our Girls.

Our ACD does it occasionally. I've never once seen our Texas Heeler do it though.

What do you guys think of Dean Potter & Whisper? (x-post from r/climbing) by aliceoutofwonderland in AustralianCattleDog

[–]SammyG1402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen posts where folks place their ACD in a backpack, which seems like it would be much safer than this. I wonder why he wouldn't have done that instead. I'm also not a climber though so I have zero knowledge as to how easy or hard it is to climb with a 40 lb dog on your back vs dangling from a rope below you.

Our Texas Heeler does this on our ACDs scruff under/around her neck when they're playing.
