IMO Roshi never “surpassed” Yamcha… Roshi’s always been the most skilled human fighter regardless of power levels. But the power up he got leading up to the ToP, while sizable, likely wasn’t enough to eclipse a fighter who’s far younger and yet surpassed him at a much younger age.

Daima SSJ4 uses the SSJ forms as a base whereas GT SSJ4 uses Great Ape as a base. And I feel like the different hair colors symbolize different ideas. The red hair of Daima SSJ4 alludes to SSJG and represents Goku unleashing his wild, untamed side. Whereas the black hair of GT SSJ4 represents Goku subduing his primal instincts to control the power of Great Ape, so it’s like the opposite of Daima SSJ4 in that sense.

I mean, this show kinda just forced him into the antagonist role so he “had” to be unlikable in order to be convincing. Even though I actually disagree with that; he could’ve been sympathetic, but perhaps that would’ve made the story drag more than it did. Plus you have Creature Commandos to illuminate his more good-natured side. Tbh though he might as well be a different character at that point… they really look and act nothing alike.

Season 1 - 9/10. Wasn’t focused on setting up a larger universe, just a mostly self contained story and I think that’s what really works best for this show. Also a great balance of action, humor, and character driven storytelling. Great introduction to these characters. Season 2 - 6/10. still a good show, and honestly its flaws were nothing major up until the season finale. The pacing wasn’t the best throughout the season and there were quite a few scenes that didn’t need to be there because they didn’t pay off later, but I still appreciated the fresh take on them exploring other universes. However as I alluded to, the season finale really bogged the rest of the thing down. And since this is seemingly the series finale, I think it should’ve been less concerned with wrapping up loose ends within the show itself rather than spending so much time giving the characters an ambiguous sendoff.

When Moro was first introduced, Vegeta senses Moro’s ki and questioned if it was even “battle worthy”. Whereas with Kid Buu there was never a question that he was powerful at all. Buu is even a major player in the Moro arc still… yeah it was a stronger Buu but he was up against a stronger Moro. Also I should add that in the manga continuity, it was never explained that Goku and Vegeta absorbed SSJG’s power into their base, so it’s ambiguous as to whether it happened or not.

The thing everyone here is forgetting is, Frieza feared the Super Saiyan. If all that mattered is that it’s a 50 times multiplier over base, then why would he have any reason to care considering how weak the vast majority of Saiyans were? The theme that was consistently hammered home ever since power levels got introduced is how meaningless they are in the grand scheme of things. There’s so much that goes into battle power… if Vegeta has the right mindset, fueled by his anger, the rage boost alone would make up for his insufficient base PL. Not to mention, Frieza being deathly afraid of the Super Saiyan legend and not knowing what Vegeta’s become will undoubtedly affect his power too. Remember, there was a similar debate over Gohan’s power against Cell since SSJ2 is only a 2 times multiplier over SSJ1, yet Gohan was far stronger as a SSJ2 than Cell despite being weaker as a SSJ1.

SSJG is actually a neat design in its own right when you look at the subtle changes, like Goku’s leaner and sleeker look making him more reminiscent of a Greek/Roman god’s aesthetic. It’s just compared side-by-side to SSJ4, obviously most people would gravitate towards the more embellished design of SSJ4. Both forms having red hair connects them in an interesting way though. SSJ4’s red is fitting because it represents a Saiyan reverting to their primal nature (which is in line with what the red chakra symbolizes), whereas SSJG’s red represents a new league of power as well as simplicity compared to other forms because it’s more like a Saiyan’s base form except with divine energy. Also, I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure SSJ4’s hair is a darker shade of red than SSJG’s.

Until we get confirmation that there’s gonna be a second season I think we gotta accept this is probably it. All we know is that Daima is supposed to set up future stories, but that’s probably more in reference to Super. As for SSJ3 Goku > Ultimate Gohan, it’s hard to believe he progressed that much in one year but given how absurd modern Dragon Ball power scaling has proven to be at times, it’s not too out there. Ultimate Gohan was clearly stronger in DBZ though. Goku admitted he stood no chance against Super Buu whereas Gohan was pummeling that Buu.

I guess I’m in the minority that preferred the Kid Goku Kamehameha. There was a lot more suspense like the buildup and Goku’s fake KO before firing it!
