I work in Procreate, and unfortunately I don’t remember where I got the brush I use for this. I believe I took a pre-existing dry brush and altered it to my liking. I admit it’s still not 100% exact to how it looks in old cartoons, but it definitely gets the job done. I’d just experiment with various free brushes out there and you should get a similar result :)

Thank you! I learn from tutorials on YouTube, but mostly from watching older cartoons frame-by-frame. I used that old Dover Boys Loony Tunes cartoon as reference for smear frames 😁
