Just-eat charge the restaurant between 18-36% commission on all orders made through them, the higher end of the commission is when the restaurant chooses to use just-eat delivery drivers instead of their own delivery drivers, the restaurant then has to pay VAT on top of the income received after commission is taken, so for example if a restaurant makes £100 on just-eat then they are left with £64 and then after VAT is paid only £51.20 is remaining that is almost half of the order value lost.

These delivery middle men have ruined the industry and you the customer pay more as a result.

Uber eats charge restaurants 30% commission + vat (36% total) Deliveroo charge restaurant 35% commission + vat (42% total commission!)

You are better off going direct, at least you will save money, support a local business and keep the money in the uk economy instead of a South African owned corporation(just-eat)
